Anyway I really like your argument on TFM, I hadn't really looked at it that way, and that was a bit superficial of me. The thing is, my passion for music began with Gaga, she's the first artist I started listening to and I didn't really have any awareness of what came before her or what were the trends at the time. Later on my tastes really evolved and went in a totally different direction, so that's why now I feel kinda underwhelmed by that kind of dance pop/electro pop. But your insight really made me look at the whole thing from a different perspective

Glad to hear!  :)

I learned to see it that way from people I know who are Beatles fans. I never understood why they are considered the best band of all time by so many people. Personally I think their songs are good, but not the "legends omg revolutionary best thing ever" that most people hold their music to. And after talking to people about it, it was the same thing as Gaga to a different era of people: The Beatles music and sound was indeed revolutionary for its time, and changed the direction of popular music for decades to come. When fans hear their music, they hold that feeling to them, much like many of us Gaga fans do for the beginning of her career.

I called the Germanotta residence right after Poker Face came out. It was 1am and went to voicemail...

Joe Germanotta called back 5 minutes later and it showed up on my caller ID and he left a voicemail...

:toofunny: forgive me, I was 18 and stupid.

I've had a 1,5-2 year period of time I wasn't able to follow Gaga, from the end of summer 2011 to the beginning of the ARTPOP era. I was then in an abusive relationship, not going to write about that much cos it's a different topic but I wasn't able to listen to Gaga when I wanted or wasn't able to check from internet how things were going. I've checked performances etc. later on and I'm sure I've missed a lot of things from that time period. First time I saw Marry the night video was from MTV when they just randomly showed it, I was so hyped!

I heard Princess Die when I was visiting my mom and randomly checked news, played it and cried, it fit to my life SO much  it's still one of my favorite tracks since I hold so many memories to it.

I have not been yet to any of her concerts, the only chance I've had was BTWB and well, I was in that relationship then and in no way would I have been able to go... also I had very little money then. Here's to hoping she will come to my country in the future!

I really want her to make a pure rock/metal album one day!

Despite she stating the opposite I still think every crazy thing she has done/worn in her career was more for attention and media coverage than for the sake of art.

There I said it :reductive:

2. i illegally download her music.....until now but i listen to her songs on spotify and watch her videos regularly (im a broke byotch)

3. i secretly hate the song joanne and i cant help but cringe at the last part of grigio girls (the part where the girls are laughing) and the first part of john wayne (the part where she speaks)
