I don't think Joanne is Gaga's comeback album

LG6 will truly be interesting. With Joanne , she talked about her, her family, and her personal relationship so I really don't know what to expect with the next one.

In usual GGD fashion they immediately presumed I was knocking down Joanne because I was speculating if it was her true comeback album or if she could potentially be doing something even bigger. Some claimed I mentioned pop, others claimed I mentioned sales and honestly it was a lot of dramatic bs that had nothing to do with the topic.

I am simply saying I personally don't think it's her 'big' comeback album and give reasons why I think so. Never talked down on it or wanted old 'PopGa' back.

Joanne is not the real deal.

She spent over a year writing the album, and it was produced in 6 months.

No that was a different album. She start working on Joanne after the death of David Bowie.

I think there are a lot of people who feel the same way simply because they know in the back of their minds that Joanne is not the album she had originally made. It's clear that there was almost a whole other album ready to go before she started Joanne, but I don't think she intends to release that music.

Whispering

I don't think Gaga is aiming for a "comeback" album. The Joanne album is the next album era. Gaga is not going to be putting out an EP to satisfy those fans who aren't happy with her current era. If you aren't happy, you are SOL for at least a couple of years.

This will be the era that leads into The SuperBowl and the one that is promoted afterward. Next, Gaga will be doing a tour for this era.

Then, it is on to her movie and the music involved with that. I expect that then we will be looking at another fall release and holiday timed CD with Tony.

+ If Joanne was the real deal why would Gaga release Joanne in October instead of February or March next year since she knew she's doing the halftime show?

It doesn't make any sense :oprah:

Gagas love

Yes, no doubt on that! And I don't mean shade towards ARTPOP with what I'm going to say because to this day I still consider it a solid pop record, but if you put her discography into perspective, the transition between Born This Way and ARTPOP felt more like a regression overall.

However, with Joanne you can tell she's evolving again into something you can only label it as Gaga: the lyrics are more powerful, her voice feels more real, her music got more mature. She's back on the right track with Joanne, and after hearing it in full that was what made me more happy for her.

But i believe it was so intentional. Ive always felt gaga is a master of fame. and pre ARTPOP, she did monstervision and she described how shes "breaking all the rules i have about fame". and she said the lyrics were fun and immature. and insiders said tht too before she did. it was intentional to do ARTPOP. it was her creating a visceral genre experience called "ARTPOP" the lyrics are sooooo metaphorical. Joanne is a traditional pop type, it requires deep meaningful lyrics. it would work if it was AYO and DIC on the full album
