Never gave a sh*t about Bowie's opinion on GaGa,  I'm certainly not caring about his irrelevant drummer's views either, sorry :ladyhaha:

I just fail to understand why do these people think it is ok to trash someone who had nothing but words of praise for Bowie.

Apparently not a single person on Bowie's team had any class at all, perhaps he was just rude himself, who knows.

All I know is that GaGa's tribute was not only great, but also literally the only one I've heard of. If there were others, they were probably not relevant enough :reductive:

His music was good. but most of the time he was boring

I literally only knew about him because of Nirvana's cover of his song, and I liked the cover better.

I know he's an influential figure in the music scene, and he was a pioneer. I now also know that he raised an incredibly stupid son, and had pretty much a team full of rude people with no class.

Never liked his music, and never will, although I respect his legacy and artistry. Lady GaGa is a better vocalist and a better performer than he was (YES, I said it :reductive:), if anything, they should be grateful it was her paying tribute to the idol :nails:

In any case, I liked it, and I still don't care about Bowie's team's opinions, so whatever :ladyhaha:

She shouldn't have impersonated him so closely, incorporated distracting intel technology, and crammed a hundred songs in such a short space. It just came off as disrespectful in a way. As a massive fan of both David and Gaga it was and still is in my opinion one of  the most disappointing and poorly executed performances of her career. I don't blame them for saying no.

I don't see how it was disrespectful... More messy and unedited. It's not like she just learned about these songs and just became a fan of Bowie because he died.

I think it's because she's a young female pop star that she is getting so much criticism about it. People don't think she "understands" music because she doesnt make "real" music.

I wonder what the reaction would have been if it was a male performer instead.

My dad always told me that he never liked Bowie because Bowie seemed to be very egotistic and apparently disliked female musicians often because music was a man's world until the 80s/90s. He told me a story of an old rumour where Bowie apparently made misogynistic remarks about Madonna's style in her peak and felt that woman should just sing ballads and love songs whilst looking pretty.

i don't know if this was true and i'm not saying it's true fyi but to me it would make sense since he disliked a woman who emulated him out of respect and love, and because Gaga was like Madonna and the odd female musician who dared to be different. It's in my humble opinion Gaga should move on from some of her idols and focus on the great ones like Elton, Stevie (Nicks and Wonder) and MJ who all love/loved her for being herself.

Maybe if his a$$ was there maybe just maybe he could've helped Gaga make the tribute the way he'd like it to be. Like he could bring ideas to the table instead of saying F*ck off,no!So he cannot complain or say sh*t if he didn't bring shxt to the table sorry not sorry....

Honesty do you think Bowie's son wanted to be reminded that his father at one point dressed as gaga did in her tribute?

Bowie went through a phase of cross dressing and heavy drug use, the way his son has turned out is no shock, nor is the company it seems he kept.

Bowie's team and son are leaving a sad reflection of Bowie in my mind and the minds of some other gaga fans too. I wonder if that is what David would of wanted.
