This monologue really sums up how I see the way a lot of the critics saw Joanne. They wrote off the album based on their prejudice of Gaga the artist.

Anyway I hope this helps comport anyone who's annpued about the mediocre critical response

Since the late 70´s till now ,Critics  are still the same. And they want to have their share of power in music industry. Their reviews always dictate what an artist should sound like...

Gaga still does her own thing ,and that means that the majority of critics will never give her a rave review.

Actually,i don´t care,i never did. I buy the music that i like ,not what the critics or general public opininion thinks is good for my ears.

Does anyone even really pay much attention to what critics say? I mean, I have never once in my entire life said to myself, "Hmmm, that critic really **** all over that movie I was going to see/album I was going to buy. I guess I won't watch/buy it now."
