I doubt I would have liked it if someone else made it. Its my least favorite Gaga album but Paparazzi is one of her best songs. But songs like Summerboy and I Like It Rough...

I wouldn't like it from any other artist and I don't like it from her either. I actually really dislike PF and JD, the album's only decent tracks are LoveGame and Paparazzi, imo.

Gaga used pop music to change art and culture at that time and I was more interested in than concept than the actual music on the fame.. I dont even like the singles like Poker Face and Just Dance. How Gaga expressed and delivered that music is what made that music interesting, just look at The Fame part 2 movie.

The sound is. Compare it to her other albums and production-wise it is her most consistent.

Well, it depends on the other artist. I do like Gaga's voice, and no other artist has that.

Reading this and the other thread, it seems like monsters prefer the more showstopping factor and like the diversity she gives since Born This Way. I can't believe i never understood how problematic this is, if she wants to satisfy her fans, and how much she does get it. I mean, for future releases. Joanne evokes some TF feel but it's almost as disperse as ARTPOP, it lacks direction and seems like throwing many ideas that dont really get the juice out of it. while TF is just what it needs to be, though it could be better

Also, for me The Fame isn't just the album, but everything she did around that. Including the videos and the fashion.

The Fame overall is a pretty great piece of pop music, one of the best pop albums of all time, along with The Fame Monster. However, what made The Fame so great was that it was lead by a visionary who was not trying to reinvent herself, but almost also if she was trying reinvent pop music as we knew it then. Furthermore, Gaga's nuance and enigmatic personality at the time drove The Fame to a different level that not any other pop musician would have been able to attain

At this point in time, Gaga was not considered an eccentric, more rather a trailblazer of fashion, performance art, and audiovisual pop media. Her appearances were avant-garde for the pop world at the time, and no pop performer would even dare to go down that path, unless they were Björk in the mid- to late-90s. Gaga was tackling some pretty dark and almost never before discussed themes, whereas everyone else was focusing on less concrete and coagulated themes running through their albums. One can even go so far as to say that The Fame is more a concept album than anything else

If this album was released by someone like Christina, Rihanna, or Katy, her peers and contemporaries at the time, I don't think I would have appreciated it as much. Christina was by know experimenting with jazz pop, Rihanna was more focused on R&B influenced pop music, and Katy was going down a more pop-rock kind of route. It was Gaga, along with a select few other pop musicians, who rushed in the new era of synthpop and new wave inspired pop music, and the character that was Gaga gave a face to the movement, to the album, and to the persona which has long since evolved into an equally great and entertaining Joanne that we know today

In all truth, The Fame has not aged well, not as much as The Fame Monster and not as much as Joanne most likely. You can hear its age, albeit for "Paparazzi" which seems to be the song that has aged the best, as you can with Born This Way and ARTPOP; does that make it a terrible album? Not necessarily, if one is judging the album on its production relevance at this very moment in time, yes it is a terrible album in terms of production because it cannot hold up to recent advancement and techniques in production, even if for the time it was released it was revolutionary

However, there is plenty going on with The Fame that makes it a timeless classic: the bops, the imagery, Gaga herself, the themes explored, and most of all the mystery of the rising pop star. It was almost as if the whole era of The Fame was a meta performance in itself. It catalogues the rise and its sequel depicts the fall of the pop star. It is no wonder we were so eager to learn more and become borderline obsessed with Gaga at the time. Even though I personally do not acknowledge The Fame as one of my favorite Gaga albums, it deserves much more praise as a whole than just the singles by some fans

I don't think any other artist would've been able to come up with an album like this. I enjoy The Fame but I overplayed it when it came out. It's a great album and some of the album tracks are great, but some of the others I just skip them.

I'm not going to say it's bad, because it obviously is not, but Gaga has created some amazing albums after that that I rarely come back to this one, maybe just for nostalgia.
