I strongly believe this album deserves this. At least in comparison to all other major releases (i dont know material from underground artists)

Do you think it will win?

Also the date it was released in... would it qualify for the upcomig grammys or the next?

It'll qualify for the 2018 grammys. And yes it'll win OBVIOUSLY.:classy:

Good so it doesnt have to compete with Adele cuz we all know who the judges would decide out of the two :awkney:

... And if by any chance Gaga did win over Adele, the GP would hate on her so badly for that

The album will qualify for the 2018 Grammys, however the award for "Best Pop Vocal Album" doesn't mean the best vocals on a pop album, it means the best pop album that has vocals (i.e. not an instrumental album) which is a common misconception about the award. I can still see her getting at least a nomination tho

25 was good but I think Lemonade will get it this year. You know, it was -deep- and -super personal-.

I hope either Radiohead or David Bowie get Album of The Year.

I agree. There used to be a "Best Pop Vocal Performance" award, but similar to Pop Vocal album it was just about "best pop song with vocals" instead of "best showing of vocal prowess on a pop song".

It got renamed into just Best Pop Song (which is a lot better fitting). Bad Romance was the last song to win an award for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance".

Thomas P

She's taking 10 Grammys home in 2018.

Record of the year

Song of the year

Album of the year

pop solo performance

pop vocal

Short form video

Traditional pop album (c3c)

and three others of your choosing.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

Don't hype me up m8. I'm expecting at least one award and at most 2-3

I think thats so dumb

They have dozens of categories to award music quality yet they dont have one for one of the biggest things in a good song (the vocals)

Thats really dumb actually

Also vocals is one of the few things you can judge on a technical basis. You can measure range of octives and how much power they have and whether they stay on key

Most other factors on the otherhand of what makes music great is highly subjective and opinionative. Theres no true way to judge

the one important thing u can actually judge in a technical way they have no award for :rip:

Not only that, but if you're a skilled vocalist you can even tell if the vocal range was achieved by great technique or is artificially forced (and potentionally damaging to the vocal chords). It's not really about "the range" itself, it's about how secure and proficient are you within the realms of what is physically possible for you to do. Britney has a larger vocal range than Gaga, yet all of us know who the more skilled vocalist is for example. :sis:
