Yup, they replaced Venus with DWUW because of DWUW's initial success, but then DWUW didn't do as well as they thought wow does this sound familiar. 🌚

Judas wasn't changed. The Edge of glory was a single six weeks after Judas was released.

If you're going to count that as a single change; you should count Million Reasons as Joannes' debut single then, because it was a 5 week timeframe between PI and AYO (now MR of course)

All of her albums have had a single change. Only a few of them happened after hitting the radio.

BDR was supposed to be the second single before it was changed to Poker Face. Boys, Boys, Boys was probably gonna be the last single off of the Fame if the entire The Fame Kills debacle didn't happen, and probably force release the Fame monster a little earlier then meant to be.

Then there is of course, Monster/Dance in the Dark/Alejandro from The Fame Monster.

Born This Way had the obvious and in obvious. There is the sudden third single of Edge of Glory right after Judas. Marry the Night was also supposed to be the first single instead of Born This Way.

Of course there's DWUW vs Venus from ARTPOP.

And now we have Joanne. of course since everyone decided on Perfect Illusion as the first single from the album, something tells me there was another Fame Monster esque debate, so they settled on a third option. You have to wonder what everyone else wanted as the original single?

Wasn't Judas supposed to be the second single in the first place?

What I knew is that Marry The Night was going to be the first single from BTW.

to be honest, for me PI is a Buzz Single.
