It's too late for the US really. They have too many enemies now to just stop intervening as it would leave them vulnerable to movements that could be made if they don't act early. I wish they could leave the rest of the world alone to an extent but it would not be in their interest. It would probably make things harder in Europe too as we'd have to clean up even more mess.
