VTV 12,842
Just because its weird or different doesn't mean its wrong but out of the two album eras, which of them alienated you the most as a fan and as a listener? Is it Joanne with the Girl Next Door / Downtown Chic fashion, the country-pop-ballad music, the sexy hip swingin dance moves, the tame ecstatic visuals? or ARTPOP with its glam-seashell-artsy fashion, the electronic-dance-pop music, the strange metronomic dance moves and the futuristic/minimal visuals? as for me, its the Joanne Era. Gaga's new alter ego had me shook and alienated. it feels like Joanne is an honest chill pill that is so hard to swallow especially if your that kind of fan who lives for the shock value of an artist . im sorry
Robo Ga 15,299
It's too early to tell in the Joanne era, you never know what tricks Gaga will have up her sleeve 🤖⚡️
StarstruckIllusion 52,780
how tf is Joanne weird lmao. the only weird thing is that Gaga is doing this.
Poissonche 12,365
Cheek to Cheek was weirder than them both combined and multiplied by a million, Gaga-wise.

TheKillerQueen 1,983
Joanne, only because its so different, but in a good way. It's something I would least expect Gaga to do! Lace up my boots, throw on some leather and cruise.
jojuun 4,159
"Minimal" ARTPOP images? Gurl?
Illuminati 15,922
Definitely AP ARTPOP was from the very start her most chaotic era and I think I learned to appreciate that aspect of it, sorta matches the creative meaning behind the album. It was a crazy experience to become a stan right before the era began witnessing the media bringing her down but at the same time some of her most Gaga moments shining through the darkness surrounding the era I hope people will look back at it one day and see just how brilliant it was and how much potential is hidden in the concept of the album and the songs
display name 4,360
I felt a bit disconnected from Gaga during ARTPOP. The drugs, the obsession with Donatella Versace, the start of Gaga screwing with her naturally beautiful lips, the collaborations with (at least alleged) sex offenders, the betrayals of Act II and the app... It wasn't a good time, and a lot of it made it hard to appreciate some bits of the album. Everything with Joanne has been right. I don't feel "alienated" whatsoever. TwerkinLurkin 4,764
Being a gaga fan Joanne shocked me more then ARTPOP cuz I think we all expected that Gaga was on a bring the weird and abstract like she always does so Joanne was way different to me
Anderson123 38,415
ARTPOP was weird in the sense of the music and performances, especially Aura, Swine, Venus, Dope etc. her clothes and everything about these performances was just a turn off sometimes. Love the songs but it was awkward as hell. Joanne on the other hand, it's weird in the sense that it's the complete opposite of what we all expected from Gaga. It's quiet, kind of a vintage feel, it has these folk, country influences, in a good way. Gaga also kept the project very secret until she was ready to talk about it, which I liked, because we know she hyped ARTPOP for over a year and many songs did not get released. Mister Gaga 22,924
It depends. Joanne feels weirdest to me because i was so accustomed to CrazyGa that at first it seemed really strange, even annoying. ARTPOP was CrazyGa 2.0, and i genuinely LOVED it (and i often feel so sad about how it all ended up, not because of the charts, but because of gaga's creative vision, and how she couldn't express it like she wanted). To the GP, i think it was too much

giskardsb 12,565
Pop girls are expected to stay "young and immature" forever. I'm glad Gaga isn't forcing herself into that role.
ReidOne 12,427
Both albums speak 100% authentically to different sides of my personal upbringing and interests. I don't feel alienated or weirded out by either one. I'm delighted we've got to experience both!
