We weren't ready

OMG

We really weren't ready for what's happening with the charts.

Joanne is getting mixed reviews but the GP is slayed by this record and songs that even aren't singles are climbing higher and higher.

I really wasn't giving any chart success for those songs one week ago but now I feel like it's Christmas and it's not even one week after the album release.

I'm just hoping that Gaga and Interscope will keep looking at the whole situation on charts and they will decide to do their best as they do now.

This era is really an exciting journey without any hyping it before.

That's what I was looking for!!

SLAY!!

I guess anyone literate can read that those reviews are full of ****

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Yeah we're getting ahead of ourselves here. Let's be realistic and not set ourselves up with higher expectations and eventual disappointments

Not even a week after album release... as someone else said, let's revisit this in a month when we can fairly judge if she slayed or not :reductive:

I still don't see this being a big seller in the long run. Which to be fair, is true for most artists now a days. Even big acts don't move units like they used to.

Lady Gaga's name still commands sales, so it doing well in the first week isn't that surprising. Until we get the actual numbers, charts don't really tell us much because they stay static 99% of the time, and then move when new music comes out. So this being a new album guarantees it will move the charts.

I just can't see this albums sound being a huge hook for mainstream consumers beyond initial sales. And the album doesn't commit enough to the genre it tackles to have a cross over break through appeal.

I hope I'm wrong. Obviously Gaga and her label care about sales. So of course I want this to be successful. But this goes beyond Gaga. If this kind of album could sell extremely well, I would be really happy.

The music speaks for itself. If they treat Joanne right and make clever decisions ( example: video and european single of Million Reasons ) they album will live very long and future hits will come. The people just must see her live. They need time for the new Lady Gaga.

Energetic and good performances like at SNL will sell the album and gain more respect for Gaga. It is up to Gaga, Bobby and Intercope what they make out of the high quality music which Joanne offers.
