hELXIG 43,043
Tonight's episode blew my mind! Seriously, this season might be my favourite to date. The fact that the real versions of the characters are so, much, scarier than the original ones is perfect. It just shows the reality of the horror that they lived in. That the TV show reenactment was nothing in comparison. This episode had me squirming and sweating (literally) when the rednecks caught them. I was shocked and frightened and amazed. My jaw dropped a couple of times. The real rednecks Scathach, Edward, and The Butcher were incredibly well done. All of them were terrifying forces with almost no humanity to them. Their special effects and costumes were impecable. Ugh. This episode made me so uncomfortable in the exact ways that a good horror show should! And Matt and Shelby's plot and character development! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

And I used to stan Matt a little but it felt kind of good to see Shelby go bat **** crazy and become so fierce. Do I need help? Though she ****ed with the wrong man, I can't help but have this feeling that she's gonna die brutally the next episode. Spoiler Her magic seems to be really strong indeed and I'm worried for Gaga tbh. Shudder at the thought of what that exorcist goblin might do to punish her imposter. it wasn't laaaahv

Yes I thought Matt was so innocent, but a part of me wondered if that would last. Though I didn't expect Shelby to snap so far. Lol no I think we all get sick satisfaction out of disgustingly horrific things in fection some times, it's human nature. Especially considering all the reenactors are taking on qualities of the real people! Lee's reenactor: became alcoholic Butchers reenactor: split personality thinking she is The Butcher Matt's reenactor: fell in love with real Shelby Shelby's reenactor: became pathetic and snivelling, but firey So if Gaga comes back, does that mean the actress who played Scathach will start being a crazy, filthy, sex maniac? I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I love this show so much and I watched it before Gaga was involved at all, but I am just so lost this season. I know what's going on, but it just feels like it's spiraling out of control. It almost feels like it's a campfire story being made up on the spot, like it doesn't know where it wants to go and really could go ANYWHERE. I feel this way a bit about Scream Queens too, but that show is comedy so it kind of adds to the humor that things are just ****ing wild and out of control. But for something to be scary and actually scare me, there needs to be at least a little sense of reality (in behavior of people etc, not like science or anything cause obviously ghosts/witches/vampires aren't real). This season, in my mind, kind of unhinged from reality when Shelby (is that her name? ) agreed to go back to that house just to re-connect with her husband. I was like ok, bitch, if I had seen a man have his intestines LITERALLY ripped out from him by a clan of immortal colonial people, you'd have to put a gun to my head before I would CONSIDER going back there. Ya know what I mean? It just got worse from there, and I just can't be scared or really invested in something that is SO unrealistic and wild. This newest episode had some scary moments though, but overall it ended and I was like what the flying ****. I agree that the character's behaviors are unrealistic and that bothers me too. Just the fact that they stayed in the house for (I guess months) after weird things started happening made no sense to me. Yea they spent all their money on the house but I'm sure they could have stayed with a relative or something until they could sell it. And then to come back when they almost died there!?! When they know that nobody is going to be able to help them. Its not like the police will be more helpful this time or something. But the show hinges on people staying in the house. There would probably be no realistic way to get people to stay there.

I'm sure there are heaps of parallels, we just need someone majorly dedicated to point them all out! Honestly this season has been so amazing, and I'm so happy with the risks and direction they took this time around, it's all paying off big time! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. hELXIG 43,043
I know I'm posting a lot, but I have one last thing to say: We still don't know why Scathach wants Matt so badly! I thought at first she wanted any man to fulfil her carnal desires, and Matt was the only one around, but even when the area was full of men she lured him back specifically. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Well, Sarah was jumped on by Piggy just like Shelby was, in the first days of being in the house. And then there's Angela's drinking problem. Sarah and Angela being held captives by the cannibals like Matt and Shelby were. And Cuba watching the angry mob/butcher murdering someone, from the window, just like Matt and Shelby did. Maybe rusty and a reach but it's something. it wasn't laaaahv
Katie14 4,828
Im confused about the lack of phone situation. Do they not have phones because they had to give them in before going on the show? I thought I remember real Lee having one and using it to film to tell the "real story". And how were there no phones in the trailer?

Yea but there is no amount of desperation that would ever get me (or 99% of people) to go back to that house knowing the crazy **** that goes down there and the complete lack of help I would receive while there. Even if the house was surrounded by military tanks for protection, I still wouldn't consider going back. Even if it was guaranteed id be physically safe, the aura of complete fear surrounding that place would be too much.
