Love how y'all would be attacking her if this was shade to Gaga but give no shits if it's to someone else. Y'all need a lesson in life.

Katy looks hot here, really feeling this look. Don't like her but I have to love the fact that she has the balls to take Taylor on. I love it when women stand up for themselves and aren't afraid of looking "unlikeable" when doing it. Women are normally afraid to respond to another woman's diss for fear of looking anti feminist too. We have to put this idea to rest, folks. If a man can defend himself when another man talks smack about him, women have every right to do the same when it happens to them.

Because Gaga hasn't done anything that deserves shade. If you make a diss track about someone over something petty, you should expect the person who it's aimed at to respond, if they have an ounce of pride and in the case of a celebrity, are concerned about the effect said diss track could have on their career. Putting out a diss track is a warning call and it shouldn't be done lightly. Taylor's so big headed that she thinks she can diss whoever she wants and they'll be too scared to respond (and let's face it, almost everyone who's she's dissed in songs never commented). But Katy's not taking this lying down and I highly respect her for that. Taylor needs to learn that her actions have consequences, that you can't go around being nasty to people and expect them to just deal with it. If anyone needs a lesson in life, it's Taylor and that lesson is "don't dish it out if you can't take it."

1. We don't know everything about their feud so don't pretend to.

2. If it's what we think it is (Katy taking Taylor's dancers away just two weeks before the start of the Red Tour) that's not "petty". That is sabotaging Taylor's tour. A lot of planning and rehearsals goes into any live show, and having to replace dancers and teach them everything with 14 days to go is no light issue.

3. The song "Bad Blood" is a generic diss track. Taylor mentions NOTHING specific within the song, meaning the listeners can put their own meaning behind it. Taylor also never told anyone it was specifically about one person. The media and fans created their feud.

4. Katy has only ever rebutted Taylor's diss by petty little comments here and there, and it's too bad she can't actually write a song and get her frustration out through her music like Taylor is gifted enough to do.

Don't quote me again because you won't change my opinion, KatyCat.

1. It really is as basic as the story that Taylor gave as the explanation behind the track. Taylor is known for writing songs about the pettiest things and anyone who she's perceived to have done her wrong.

2. You say we don't know everything about the feud, but then claim to know specific facts like when the dancers were taken away. Isn't that speculation as well?

3. Actually, she did once say that it was specifically about one person. She may not mention anything specific in the song but she gave the explanation of what this person did in that Rolling Stone interview before the album came out. Before the album was even released, she stated that Bad Blood was about a female artist who tried to sabotage her tour. That was why everyone started speculating about how it could be. After the song had been released as a single for a few weeks, she claimed it was actually a big blanket statement to anyone who had ever hurt her but that was BS because anyone who remembers that interview can trace it back to a very specific explanation she gave. She just backtracked due to being worried that her image was being damaged from people calling her petty. But backtracking was pointless as everyone was referring to her previous explanation when they called her petty. Katy's actions afterwards confirmed it was 100% directed at her, there is no question about it. So, it must be true.

4. Of course she's going to put a song out about the feud, when her album gets released. Duh.

And I'm not a KatyCat. I just said in my OP that I don't even like her. I've been harsh on Katy for the longest time, especially since 2013. Don't jump to conclusions.

1. At least she writes her songs. Not many artists do that. So even if it's just something about something you think is "petty", it's still a song written by the singer which is a great thing to be said. Sometimes artists have to create a song from a tiny bit of inspiration, and that is what she does a lot of the time, but that's okay because (unlike many pop artists) she expresses her actual emotions through her music.

2. I said we don't know everything, but we know something. We have no idea if there are other pettier things that have happened between Taylor and Katy. And I'm SURE some petty things happened over John Mayer.

3. You're right about that. But she said it was a blanket statement because that's what it is. She never mentions the tour, Katy, or anything specifically rated to that situation in the song. So even though to her it could be about that one thing, it could still mean whatever you and I wanted it to mean when we listen to it. Someone pissed you off last year? Well you can sing Bad Blood and relate it to your own situation.

4. Screw her for being a good business woman/musician, right?

My final thoughts: Katy is a petty b*tch who sabotaged someone's tour for no reason, and Taylor is not a bad person just because she wrote a song about it. That is what musicians do and that is what Taylor Swift is allowed to do.
