every other artist in history looks like a flop if we're using that as a guidepost

Well, maybe The Beatles or Elvis. :) Also, before the world was hooked up to media constantly, first week album sales weren't overloaded like they are in the present.

The fact that I'm super happy about this when Joanne's sales are still worse than ARTPOP's  :ladyhaha:

Seriously though, this is fantastic. People might not have been here for PI (I still don't get it, because it f*cking slays :nails:), but I feel that A-Yo and Million Reasons struck a chord with a lot of people and inspired them to check out the rest of the album.

You can be both, you know. A fan can be happy if an artist they like does well, but if they don't, the fan can still enjoy the music, promo, tour, etc.

You can't just compare sales from 2013 to sales from 2016. It's incomparable.

HDD is putting me through it. I don't know what to feel anymore. Should I get my hopes up again? I knew after SNL sales would go up but damn.

Yes I know but Billboard dropped those predictions to 140k right before SNL. So I'm on a rollercoaster right now. Lol

I didn't say you couldn't. I'm just saying that most the forum doesn't care about charts until Gaga is slaying them

Yeah, that's pretty normal. You can enjoy the era and hope for the best at the same time. If it doesn't end up being a chart topping era, you can enjoy other things about it.

Some people care too much about charts, some don't care at all, but most fans are somewhere in the middle. :)
