Huh?

I didn't even ask about MR's performance?

I asked about the overall scape in music industry.

I could have just posted an educated guess but I wanted other opinions first before I embarass myself, geez.

And I gave you my opinion lol

Has my post sounded offensive? That wasn't my intention at all. I just meant politics doesn't affect music unless the government has means for censorship.

I leaned towards the direction that times in times of unsureness and politcal anger, people tend to escape in entertainment more aka bigger revenue for music/movies/other media.

The biggest influx of popgirls happened in 2007-2010 during the Recession.

Well I'm no economist but I don't think both things are related, since a recession means people have less money to spend with frugal things such as entertainment, so they tend to direct more of their income to essential goods. But who knows.

I'd consider "entertainment" an essential good, but I just really love music/art. :flop:

Well this time there's no sudden shortage of income, so your point might prove to be true!

It had 27 spins on all formats, not just Pop.

Plus, the 26 number is the difference between yesterday and the same day the week before, not the number spins it got yesterday.
