Sony helps artists navigate royalties from radio and commercials in EU markets, to make sure they're being paid for fairly. This division of Sony in Europe is only for A-list, major acts. Wouldn't be surprised if that adds a tiny bit to her album sales this week. Clinton gave her glowing praise prior to her speech as well, which got millions of viewers. Sony/ATV is their songwriting subdivision, Gaga has been signed to them since the beginning of her professional career. It's just confirmation that Gaga is not gonna switch to BMI.
