Im expecting a nice iTunes boost for sure, but I don't expect radio updates to dramatically be different.

 

I really don't think you can compare Bacon to Million Reasons. Million Reasons shows a more vulnerable side of Gaga and incredible vocals. Radio DJ's would eat it up bc this is the type if song they love, not to mention I'm sure a lot of people will request the song after the performance. I remember how the VMA's gave Make Me a positive update, after it had been falling for months. At any rate, nothing good can come out of negativity so we just have to stay positive.

I feel like this is Gaga's 4 era, underperforming singles with average album sales that transition her into more of an album artist.

Selena did THWWIW (a ballad) and went from 15 to 2 on iTunes....hopefully gaga has the same or better  effect

Im not negative / 'meltdowning'

(the only true Gaga meltdown that I had in the last 8 years was when Perfect Illusion was release because I disliked the song and thought it would do horrible on the radios   )

Im just slightly shocked by the radio numbers for now that's all.

Considering it's the AMERICAN music awards, I'm sure the performances of the new singles at this show can have a pretty great impact on US radio. I just feel like stations are somewhat uncertain at the moment when it comes to MR cause of the confusion that happened with ayo and the lack of promo for the song. Idk

Yeah I don't understand radio either. They're not even giving it a chance. And it's the one Gaga single that has shown this much promise for years. Why are they actively ignoring it?

Because they've seen y'all meltdown about this and give it very little faith in succeeding already. Plus a good 90% of the fanbase absolutely hates the song.

The fanbase is not influential enough to make a song a hit, but definitely influential enough to make a song a flop.

Even if MR does flop, whatever song she performs from Joanne will go at least top 15 after the Super Bowl, I mean it pushed Adventure of A Lifetime by Coldplay to 13 on the hot 100.

Interscope needs to lobby for radio plays. PI did at least have some radio plays until it was suddenly pulled from radio (with a gap of weeks before MR gets added )

At this point, i do think the AMAs will have a positive effect, but not to the extent what we would all like. 

I hope i'm wrong though, and that they will start actively pushing for radio plays after the AMAs. It's not that i care about chart success, but Gaga hasn't proper gotten radio plays since DWUW and MR really deserves better.
