It's just cringeworthy to watch it from a fan perspective. I'm here for the music, performances all that stuff. I understand that she, just like every other person is allowed to have political views, sing about them, openly support political candidates etc but there is a line she shouldn't cross. And changing an already planned performance, for something else just cuz someone she doesn't support won, is simply dumb. And what message is she sending? Are people supposed to go "I hate the fact that Trump is the president, but I like that Gaga is singing this song Come to Mama! It's making me feel so much better !!".

It would be pointless to change the song at the AMAs.

What is cringeworthy about it? What line has she crossed? She can do whatever the hell she wants, it's her music, not yours.

The only reason you don't want her to change the song is because you want Million Reasons to become a hit so you can brag about it on Twitter or wherever.

You are partly right. I do want her to get a hit. Why? Because she ****ing deserves it ! People need to hear the song, it has the potential to be her biggest single since TEOG. With delivering a political statement at the AMAs she could annoy a lot of people and that's the line she could cross. Most of the people who tune in to watch the AMAs simply wanna entartain themselves and maybe even forget whats happening in the real world, have fun, listen to some music.

You also have to understand we are in the Charts section now where we discuss a song's performance on the radio, iTunes, streaming AND as well Gaga's future promotion of her singles and the boost that promotion could cause. And I was doing exactly that. So don't give me this attitude like I don't care about Gaga and her views on certain important issues. Especially since I never saw you posting here before. So Yawn to you too. Byee

There is no way MR is charting this week, hopefully radio picks up enough by next week that it is possible.

She's done last minute changes. The iconic Telephone/DITD tribute to McQueen at the Brits was last minute and her label wasn't for it. She was originally just going to do Telephone.

I don't think she'll change her performance at the AMAs... She knows that she will accomplish nothing by singing a certain song at an award show. Makes no sense
