JamJams 307
I much prefer A-Yo over Million reasons! Imagine how fun the A-Yo music video would be! Although Million reasons has been doing a lot bittern the charts the past few weeks, but who knows! bluffin with ur muffin
LadyGagasGodSon 410
Given the season too, Million Reasons has the potential to be her Hello. GP seem to dig slower melodies during fall/winter. But I see the appeal of A-Yo too. Honestly, if Million Reasons is given a remix treatment a la TIHTY, it can be a triple cross-over for Pop, Country and Club/Dance. You are small men. You are not worthy to rule the Dothraki.

Arizona Sky 10,913
Million Reasons lmfao. The public reacted SO much better when they saw MR. They hated A-YO. Just check Twitter And look for yourself on iTunes tomorrow morning

I don't see this song ever becoming a hit in my country (Israel). Million Reasons is already known by some of my friends and they all love it, we sing it together and they're not even huge fans. A-YO is similar to uptown funk & shake it off with rock'n roll, funk, country inspirations... It is the most catchy song in the album. It is up tempo but not overwhelming which means that it does not make you feel tired. Vocals are on point, live instrumentation is amazing too. It will be a hit in US for sure. MOST IMPORTANTLY: A song has to have a lyrical melody to become a hit (unless there is huge hype which we do not have). A-YO is the only song that has catchy lyrical melody, and conforms to norms of a hit song. Million Reasons do not have a catchy lyrical melody. But mirror on the ceiling would be stuck to people's mouth.
xoxo cupcakke 4,781
More people probably heard A-YO live tonight, but the MR performance has a huge potential to go viral... Gaga's team must not know the answer either. Both songs are neck and neck in potential sales and slayage. I want MR to be the next official single, though However, I wonder if Gaga and her team would be down for a double-A side single. That hasn't successfully worked since "Keep it Together"/"Vogue was released by Madonna, but I hope Gaga's team has the balls to pull a double-A side off. So shook at this revelation
iCpro 14,846
Million reasons is doing really well considering there was no promo at all, so it's a much safer choice, but A-yo has potential to smash as well 08, 09, 11, 13, 16,

I agree... I'm still on the fence with that record! I like it but I just don't know. Also, the reason that song is doing bad on iTunes is because the record leaked a day before that song was released!!! People are not going to buy something they got for free. gagaxuan 999
I love both songs as single! But it's best to release MR now and release AYO as third single to start off 2017

A-YO never reached top 20 and it received the same and even more promotion than MR. Guys it's obvious MR is doing better. Let's not forget that A-YO was recently released compared to MR. Not every song is going to be an insta-hit or chart high right away. We'll see which song charts higher during the week. But for now, A-YO is charting higher She can't go wrong with either song, but A-YO seems more promising.
Guest
This is the closest call between singles yet. Watch them scrap both of them a release Grigio Girls or something...

Shake It Off is less aggressive and it took me some time but it made sense that it was so successful. Uptown Funk is way more funky and pop-ish. A-YO feels like a fan favorite, can't see it becoming a hit. Million Reasons would do so good if it had radio promotion. It already did well without ANY promotion (#4 on iTunes!). A-YO got red updates even after the Apple commercial video so I am not optimistic about it.

The two songs each have something that the other doesn't, but they both have an equal potential to become hits for entirely different reasons And really, when you think about it, Gaga has yet to release a piano ballad as an official single, which is kind of strange now that I think about it that in her entire career, besides C2C, all her singles have been so synthetic instead of organic Joanne was partly released to showcase this organic, free-range Gaga, and what better way to do it than to release a single (not deep cuts) that has everyone singing and waving lighters in the air. I think Gaga should wait on A-YO or release it along side Million Reasons because if Million Reasons does end up getting released, that could potentially hurt A-YO's single success. This situation is rather tricky when you think about; so many catch-22s EDIT: I forgot about TIHTY being released but IDK if we should even count it as a main release
