Lona Delery 7,213
a Lana album the same year as Joanne would make 2016 a good year, since mostly everything else this year was crap Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Yeah, but literally, 12/14 songs were at least four minutes, and the average runtime for a song on the album was around five minutes long. I feel like this is also holds true for Ultraviolence, but Ultraviolence actually had time shifts, different atmospheres, and also different moods instead of entirely similar ones that are almost indistinguishable That was my main issue with Honeymoon; the album stayed on the same plane instead of venturing off into others. The only song I feel that does attempt this is "High by the Beach" and was hyped that Lana was experimenting with trap and the song, to me, gave off very weird but interesting vibes of a 50s/60s girl group melded with one from the late 90s/early 00s. I believe this is very evident in the chorus, but not in the rest of Honeymoon whose songs are extremely spaced out and almost as if Lana was trying to be the image that she provokes to others rather than her provoking her own image unto others with her music and her beingness
