She's held to such a different standard it's sickening

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

Shrug. To Britney's defense, Glory was her highest score on Metacritic in a long time.

But yeah, this really should be peaking at 70. If not, at least we can find solace in the fact that it got better reviews than ARTPOP.

Calm, big reviewers like Billboard and Entretainment Weekly are yet to come.

I only hope consequence of sound & Pitchfork don't **** that. They normally gave 20, 30, 40 points at 65% average albums like is Joanne now.

Another article that mentioned ARTPOP's "failure"

When will it end

That aside, the writer has made pretty valid points tbh? He mentioned something about the storytelling not being compelling enough. Personally, it's what I felt about the record as a whole. The music's great to me, but the songs never quite hit a peak (or a trough, thankfully). I feel like a few things about each song could have been better tweaked so that the storytelling would have been more effective. Except for Angel Down. That's the standout track in the album for me because she really delivered everything (vocals, emotions, story, sounds etc) with that one. :diane:

I don't actually hate PI

I thought everyone saying 90+ was reaching but even I am surprised by this. The album belongs in the late 70s imo.
