I agree with them on the Stevie Nicks vocals. But they had to write 75% of the article about ARTPOP again. :nails:

At least it got a 70.

Finally, a review where the negatives are based on the album as opposed as to what the reviewer wanted from the album, and even then, the positives almost definitely outweigh the negatives when it comes to an album like Joanne :diane:

And also this counts for MC? We've been blessed with comptetent reviewing :diane:

Shocked, to be honest. AV Club is notoriously stringent on their music reviews, and especially Gaga.

On her flamboyant early albums, Lady Gaga’s fascination with fame led to trenchant societal observations and subversions. The tepid 2013 album ARTPOP reversed that trend. With its vapid, debauched commentary—the kind at which she once sneered—the record wasn’t from the perspective of an outsider looking askance at celebrity culture, but from an artist who had internalized and embraced fame’s worst facets.

Interesting.

Very interesting and, I think, inaccurate. But Gaga's elliptical wording is sometimes hard to decipher, which results in people completely missing her irony.
