kvnrp 48,353
reddit.com/r/music isn't really known to love Gaga, or most other pop artists (r/popheads is the place for that), but I would say about 90% of comments on the Joanne album discussion thread are positive about it. Here are some comments from that thread: Spoiler @Admin it would be nice if Reddit comments could be embedded u/robboadam: "Wow......ok, so I did not expect that. I saw the reviews and thought this was gonna be pretty mediocre but there's something so fresh and different about this. Like, I'm sorry, but this woman could've hired loads of writers to make her loads of hit current singles and instead she does this? Balls. She has balls. I like balls." u/frostPanic-: "She's always been super talented, compositional wise and vocally, it's nice that she's finally in a position where she can do whatever she wants because this album is rad." u/angular_js_sucks: "This is a really ballsy record considering her career needed a pop/dance comeback, she could have easily hired the current "in" producers ('The Chainsmokers') and made some quick hits. Too bad due to her image, this album will be overlooked by many." u/KometBlu: "One of the best record this year, and by far her best. It feels raw, real and above all genuine, which is a rarity to see among pop stars as big as Lady. The blend of rock, pop, folk and country works stunning on Mark Ronson/BloodPop-led production, which is nothing less than brilliant, just like the lyrics that are both more relatable and more substantial than any of her previous work. Highlights would include that gorgeous acoustic title track, Beck co-written dance number Dancin In Circles, thought-provoking Angel Down, super fun John Wayne and Million Reasons, that just may be her best ballad ever. NFL reportedly booked her for Superbowl immediately after they've heard the album, and I can see why. Very excited about that performance!" Everyone seems to love this album Even if we don't get a 90 on Metacritic, we can be so proud of this album

Maybe this thread is for you "Why does Gaga get so much hate?"https://www.reddit.com/r/Music/comments/58mxkt/why_does_gaga_get_so_much_hate/ It's basically the same story over and over again: People see her in meat, think she's "too edgy", maybe like a few singles but when they are shown some piano performances or basically anything from 2015 to today, they finally see her talent and like her now. These people are the same to like "real music" because it's more "intellectually provocative" but they lack the required amount of intelligence to understand that theatrics does not equate to a covering up of a lack of talent. It's embarrassing.
