Supersonic 49,376
Gaga seems like she's capable of a C6, I wonder if we'll ever get to hear her sing one.

Gaga could even belt a G#5 if she'd mix it, but she doesn't. She literally dragged her larynx to hit that E5 in the Apple Music Interview, which is so unhealthy. I wish she'd get a different vocal coach. ⟡ ⋆ ˚。⋆🦢⋆ ˚。⋆⟡

She's been with the same instructior for nearly 16 years now and she was capable of belting a nice G5 in her mixed voice in that Electric Kiss video at Tisch. I think he instructs her well, she just doesn't like the sound of her mixed voice (which is understandable, I f*cking LOATHE the sound of my mixed voice as well even though people tell me it's super impressive lmao)

Most Artists use their mixed voice to belt high. She should just do it and not strain her larynx. It sounds so uncontrolled after an Eb5. Also, I am 100% sure that if Gaga would completely quit smoking, her falsetto would be easier to do for Gaga. Right now, she seems to stop being comfortable after an G5. I am sure she could go up to an E6, but that would mean vocal training and no alcohol or smoking. ⟡ ⋆ ˚。⋆🦢⋆ ˚。⋆⟡

Tbh, I don't think she could go up to an E6. Beyoncé is a coloratura mezzo and in her vocal prime she could barely reach an Eb6, and Gaga is a lyric mezzo with an expansive lower register (going as far down as people wrongfully labelling her an alto). The fact that she's able to belt a comfortable D5 in her chest voice (see TIHTY at the Oscar's) - which most of the pop sopranos can't even do - is a testament to her skill as a vocalist imo. She doesn't really utilize her head voice and falsetto a lot even though she's capable of it, but I'd agree that she doesn't seem comfortable doing falsetto notes past a G5. I thought so Even Christina was able to reach a E6 last year but can't belt properly over a B4. I also wouldn't label her an alto, her lows are great but her G5 Belt made me think otherwise. Gagas Voice right now (Belting wise) reminds me of Mariah Carey right now. Comfortable until an Eb5, but all other Belts very rich and well controlled. What I do not like about Gagas voice is, that it seems SO perfected on Joanne for example, there is not much room for character to shine through (which makes critics say that there's no emotion). ⟡ ⋆ ˚。⋆🦢⋆ ˚。⋆⟡

You can belt in your regular chest voice, which produces a full and powerful sound. However, the higher you go, the more you're going to strain to reach a note. That's when you mix your head voice in. While the sound of a mixed belt can be perceived as less full/powerful, you strain a lot less when hitting higher notes which is much healthier for your voice in the long run.
