Instead, the generic Angel Down is up there at #5 It's not that Angel Down is a bad song. It's just that the work tape is so much better than what Ronson and Bloodpop did with the song. They slaughtered and butchered it to death. The studio version does nothing for me, but the work tape is magnificent. A song with such a strong message needs a raw and rough feeling to truly convey its message. The opening line sounds so fragile and vulnerable, contrasted by the high notes full of pain and rage in the chorus... CHILLS! The lowered key and generic production in the final version take all of that away, leaving a song that sounds like a simple lament. And Dancin' in Circles is also not that good, tbh. Not that exiting to me Diamond Heart is the story about Gaga when she was hustling in New York trying to make it, and is practically begging to be sang in a big stadium, how could you not love it if you're really a Gaga fan OT: Mess at MR being so low.
