I don't like Beyoncé but even I have to admit Lemonade was a great album and unexpected. I prefer Joanne but Lemonade's songs are more creative.

Personally, I do prefer Joanne. But let's not do this. Both artists are fundamentally different and have made their albums with completely different intentions. There's not much of a point in comparing them on any level. We know the critics are biased on Gaga right now, but as Gaga said, this is a time to celebrate. Let's not get bitter. Enjoy the music, even if certain individuals aren't enjoying it.

Ummm no. Let's be honest here, the general public can identify with Beyonce's songs. It's harder to identify with Lady Gaga because everything is wrapped in metaphors and is very cryptic (which is something I actually enjoy). And even though there is no stand out song on Lemonade the full album and the visuals is a stand out alone. Which is where the acclaim comes from. It's one full piece of artwork rather than a collage. And even though I personally love Joanne and ARTPOP the lyrics aren't as crafted as her earlier music. The hooks don't stick to the GP like it does to us. And I think if Beyonce and Lady Gaga switched albums the results would be worst for both because it is not who they are.

Beyonce and Lemonade in my opinion are massively overrated, it didn't appeal to me whatsoever, I didn't understand the hype.

I listen to lots and lots of artists but Beyoncé just isn't one of them

It does bug me how much people try to gauge gaga's authenticity when everything Beyoncé does is just taken at face value, without question.

Does Lemonade even have singles out? Does she get radio play? I've never heard a beyons song on the radio

I don't like Beyonce (usually too fake and run of the mill for me), but Lemonade has some really great songs (6 inch, Freedom, the one with the daddy issues:poot: & the Rock one). That being said, Gaga creates her own music, Beyonce is just a performer:reductive:

Let's face it, if Beyonce had released Joanne it would have been acclaimed. Joanne is getting decent reviews so far, but it simply deserves much more. On the other hand Lemonade, one of the best received albums this year, was praised even though it's content was in general typical Beyonce. Lemonade was consistent, and it's visual aspect was appealing, but honestly no single song on Lemonade is as appealing, memorable, or intricate as the songs on Joanne. Joanne is much more intriguing musically, more interesting lyrically. Gaga also matches the emotions and genres of the songs with her versatile voice, while Beyonce in general sounds the same no matter the genre of the song. And is not like Beyonce sings bad but Gaga is simply a level above her when it comes to choosing the perfect vocal styles for her songs. In general, specially in terms of creativity, Joanne is simply much betrer.

Gaga sings better than Bey

Two incomparable albums.

They are as dissimilar as possible

The problem here isn't Beyoncé; it's the critics who you should be annoyed with. Beyoncé's success has zero to do with Gaga's. I love both albums, but I just wish the critics were as generous and fair with Gaga as they are with Beyoncé.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.
