She proved she is worthy to be under spotlight. She proved that she can sell arenas. She proved that she can sell stadiums. She proved she can sing American National Anthem without lipsync. She proved she's compassionate by fighting for someone else rights. She proved she can write a melody and perfect lyrics. She proved that she's an artist; not some faker. She proved she's here fr the music. She proved that she's more than crazy outfits. She proved that no matter how weird you are you have value. She proved that she's a lot more than people thought she was. She doesn't have to prove anything anymore. She done more than anybody currently relevant. That's it. They bash her conceptual albums for being pretentious yet they call her non-conceptual albums too scattered. Gaga does still care about acclaim and criticism. She was triggered by the Chainsmokers for god's sake... Making fun of other artists that have a better discography and legacy is just petty. The first single off of Joanne received mostly positive reviews, the follow-up promo single was widely acclaimed. I'm just stating my opinion as someone who was on ATRL long before Gaga even started her path in music business. And who's making fun? Listen up and listen careful: I am not a prick who likes to see people fighting or dominating or idk what. I'm comparing Gaga and Bey because Bey is (for me) only artist that is worthy to compare Gaga with. I used Bey because she's critically and socially acclaimed, while Gaga is not. I'm not a blind hater, but a disillusioned fan. She wouldn't need to defend her work if it was any good. Do you see Rihanna, Beyonce, Taylor, etc and their fans defending their work?
