However, I believe this system is do or die for Nintendo home consoles. This is either a success or Nintendo stays away from the home console market until they can find a gimmick that can actually distinguish them from the rest of the market. I don't think they're going to replace the 3DS, though, not when the 3DS basically owns the handheld market. You have a point. But the big news about this is a reveal. The NX has been known about since... last year I believe, or at least E3 of this year.
