Janne Monsen Tveit 132
I'm in LOVE with this look, and I'm SO happy she's open about the song's inspiration. I really, really hope they release Angel Down as a single, it deserves a music video and more attention than just being an album track. If not a single, maybe it could be used for the cause or for a documentary or something. It's without a doubt one of her best songs ever. http://730.no

ProfessionalClown 10,647
Can people just shut the **** up about that bullshit movement (BLM)? Some of us hate it for the fact that it creates false statistics and victimizes people who arent even targeted more than others in the US (media coverage is a thing people love). Did you not see that BLM woman hijack a vigil for the Pulse victims? How they shut down a few pride events? How they have straight up said that they hate cops? Some people like it for the fact that either they don't do research and buy into anything while some like it as a way of being racist without having any consequences. This is why I hate being a fan of certain people (Gaga, Twenty One Pilots, etc) bc they're just full of complete SJW idiots who always have to find offense to everything. If someone disagrees, MOVE ON. ITS THEIR OPINION. Were on a GAGA FORUM. Isn't the whole point to be united and be a "family" and have love for each other? Like what the ****? Like what the ****? 1. it is impossible to be racist to white people because white people have never been oppressed as an entire race (No, Irish slaves are not an entire race that was oppressed) 2. Within the BLM movement yes there are many ignorant people that use it to express biased prejudiced however the actual meaning of the movement is so much more and is anything BUT being hateful. You have no idea what people of color feel because you have most likely lived a life in which you don't have to fear wearing a hoodie. 3. The issue is that Gaga outright said she wrote this song about BLM and Trayvon and people are STILL whitewashing it and trying to make it about themselves (Pulse), ("everything,") 4. Some people hate cops because most cops are bullies and want you to lack any knowledge of yours rights so they can get away with whatever they want. Cops racially profile, and kill so many innocent lives due to this. Please educate yourself on the issues and do something about it. This is not something you just brush off. If someone disagrees, MOVE ON. ITS THEIR OPINION. Were on a GAGA FORUM. Isn't the whole point to be united and be a "family" and have love for each other? Like what the ****? So first you write an essay about how much you hate BLM, and then close your post by shouting 'IF SOMEONE DISAGREES, MOVE ON!' - in capital letters? So, let's state the FACTS: - BLM is a big movement and, like in any big group of people, has bad apples. You cannot discredit the whole BLM movement based on a few examples of misconduct by a small percentage of its members. Don't generalise. - Black people ARE targeted more by police than other races in the US. Unless you pull some radical scepticist Descartes argument you cannot possibly debunk that black people are more likely to be mistreated by police in any way (for example being pulled over for having a 'suspiciously' good car for a black person). - It is not BLM that victimizes people, it simply gives attention to already existant victims. Saying BLM victimizes black people is like saying Gaga victimizes people who have been raped by writing TIHTY. No! These people have already been raped and thus already are victims. Black people are already victims of society and BLM merely raises awareness of this fact. BLM merely raises awareness to the fact that black people are still discriminated against in many ways. If you don't support BLM it means you deny that black people face discrimination, racism and oppression which would be extremely worrying. You do not have to agree with everything BLM says to support the fact that they're raising awareness about racism. I don't support statements like 'white people suck', 'you cannot discriminate against white people' or 'all/most cops are racist' but that doesn't mean I don't support their goals. I hope you at least realize and admit that black people face discriminatiom/racism in many different ways and that that is a problem that deserves attention. Albeit chapter-based. Your post makes no difference anyway really. I don't agree with the methods they use and there's countless examples of such. I think people, especially in modern society, feel that BLM equates to racial inequality and activism. There's so many movements and organisations set-up to tackle the inequality each with their own ideology and methods. If you don't agree with ones ideology it doesn't mean you are racist or refute black people. I remember The Guardian published an article promoting BLMUK and countless black people rejected it, are they racist or do they prevent social justice? No. I won't be made to feel like my view is of any less worth or my fight for racial equality is any less significant than yours (maybe not you personally but considering your terrible insults towards that other user) simply because I don't agree in this specific movements/organisations methods. Still not similar to PETA. You can't judge a whole movement based on what some of their members do. Saying you don't agree with Black Lives Matter is like saying you don't agree with the Feminist movement, it's not a one person / one mind entity. I don't agree with some people who identify with the movement and some of the things they have done but that doesn't mean I'm gonna judge the whole idea of fighting for racial equality.
