Because a lot of them don't actually review the music. they just judge hastily based on Gaga's personality and theatrics.

When you think about it, why does critics (as a job) exist?

They do cuz they're supposedly reflect the public taste, so they should know what we like and hate, specially back at the days (before the Internet) you had to buy the whole album just to get the song(s) you like, and if you're hesitant on wasting $15 without knowing the album material, your read a critic review on the album to see if it's worth buying.

But if a critic shíts on an album/song/movie but it ends up being successful and the GP dig it, they (critics) failed at their jobs.

Music critics shouldn't exist on this age, they're useless, #SorryNotSorry. At least with movies I want to read a critic review cuz I won't waste money + 2 hours of my life on ****; but with music, everything is on YouTube for free, review the song(s) on your own. Honestly.

The critics eat Beyonces *** for Lemonade but Gaga does an even more personal record and its "naive" and fake. **** OFF.

By what metric is Joanne, an album about a relative she's never met discussed on only like two songs, more personal than Lemonde, an album about a high star profile singer dealing with the devastation of her husband cheating on her and learning to forgive him?

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Is there an option to ask to take down a critic review?

I don't think so. The only real way to impact anything like this would be publicly discrediting the review on social media

I don't usually care about reviews but this struck a nerve because he is reviewing a person. Didn't realize this was the Roast of Gaga :saladga: inb4 secret plot with Chainsmokers to take down Gaga

I know it's not true but it's not fair, LEMONADE is a great record. Just bc JOANNE is Gaga's album they give her shitty reviews?

I mean.I believe that Joanne deserves 70+ but how do you know that they only give her those reviews because it's Gaga. Maybe they just don't like the album

Can't wait for Gaga to slay SNL, slay Netflix, slay the Superbowl, slay the charts with JW & DIC and show this lowlife that TALENT ALWAYS WINS.

Its about her entire family, best friend, and Joanne. Im not taking anything away from Lemonade but Joanne is way more raw overall.

I thought they reviewed the album- but here they're just talking about her as a person? Hmm. :oprah:

Which is fair: The Chainsmokers don’t see dance music as avant-garde theater or sociopolitical provocation. They see it as quick-stepping pop, which, though it’s fuzzy in the rearview, is also part of Lady Gaga’s legacy. That they were allergic to “Perfect Illusion” makes sense. But instead of taking offense and tossing off a tweet, she should maybe give them a call.'

What kind of critic is that?

Lemoande is WAY more personal though. Joanne isn't story-telling

"The Florence Welch duet “Hey Girl” sounds like Motown, but Ms. Welch’s singing isn’t nearly as brazen as it ordinarily is (though it easily outclasses Lady Gaga’s)"

Wtf?! Outclasses? :oprah:
