President Trump 3,508
This is just my subjective, personal experience. When i heard ARTPOP, I immediately liked all the songs, a moderate amount. They were all decent pop songs. Applause later turned into my favorite song of all time, but as a whole, I actually stopped listening to the album the very next day after I heard it. I liked it the first day, then the very next day I was pretty much done with it. It was good but I didn't really have any drive to listen to it further. It has nothing to do with charts. But joanne, I liked them all a moderate amount the first time, and recognized they were all well constructed songs. This is the most cohesive album structurally she's released, especially given the fact that her producers were meticulous on each and every song. And the next day, I still was into it. And then the next day, I actually enjoy the album even more. so basically, for me, the difference is that the processed tunes of ARTPOP got old for me within 24 hours. But Joanne has just increased in quality, for me. I know it's different for everyone but that is my experience and I am very appreciative of this wonderful direction she's going in. djBuffoon 12,123
I still listen to ARTPOP, as well as Gaga's other albums because (to me) they're all very well-crafted, well-constructed pop songs. Of all things, the songwriting and vocals have been the most consistent aspect of Gaga's work, not so much the production.
Delusional Aura 5,129
. I love it so much as well. But, leave Ms. ARTPOP alone, she's still some of us little complicated baby

KarmaPolice 4,731
It's not that ARTPOP wasn't good (even tho it was a bit soulless) but the whole production was too loud! The album is nosey and after you listen to 3 songs you literally have to stop (my experience ofc)
