The only reason people are bringing up Shake it Off is one person who went to the listening party was drunk or high.

bookmark me when i say that the next artist to create a song with the same generic catchy sound that i mentioned above and i personally really love is gonna be accused here of ripping off A-YO lmao, It's not copying, not the same thing just a similar beat.

Only the beginning sort of gives a throwback feeling lol. Lets not pretend like half of the people here didn't hear the similarity when they first heard the song. It was all over GGD that it's her second MANiCURE and that it sounds like Shake it Off. It doesn't but the claps remind of a similar beat.

Didn't get that feeling at first but I just listened Shake It Off and it does....

It's a shame it doesn't have a 'sick' sound/beat like Shake It Off.....

another shot before we kiss the other side

I'm not pretending. I only got a MANiCURE vibe not a Shake it Off vibe.

it was awesome listening to the dive bar performance...:rockstar:

It was definetely bop. So I kinda not getting it why some monsters bashing it

but now that I have listened today, I kinda feeling something missing when I listening to the studio version... :O and kinda get why some unliked it...

I prefer live version since it is more organic, u can hear more trumpets in it, and dancey

but the studio version its kinda something missing...

It's a good song. But there are so much better on the album. Why would you choose this as your single over John Wayne/Dancing In Circles? That's all.

All these songs follow in the footsteps of Hey Mickey by Toni Basil (1982).

I had a thought that maybe Million Reasons and A-Yo are promo singles, as hype for another single which I'm hoping hoping hoping is John Wayne.

I've finally fallen in love with A-Yo. It is definitely a WAY BETTER single than Perfect Illusion. Honestly it's tragic that Perfect Illusion was chosen as the lead single. Poor choice.

I dont like it. Is too chessy for me, Joanne is such a mature album, A-Yo sounds like silly or stupid for me, even hate how "A-Yo" sounds :excuseu:

I skip it. :reductive:

I kind of want to hate it but end up loving it every single time. Or I kind of love it but end up hating it every single time. Can't be sure which one. So I end up listening to it over and over, again and again.

If A-YO is a single she could perform it at the Super Bowl you know what song has the same BPM and drum beat as A-YO? Dog Days Are Over. AY-O + Dog Days Are Over mash up leading into Hey Girl would make everything worth it. So I'll say I love it...
