I guess I just sift through the posts until I see a post I agree with, and I like it. And I communicate with that person. I think it's going to have an unfair reputation over the complicated feeling this fan base has over it being the lead single. Scrat 138 Posted October 18, 2016 Share Posted October 18, 2016 Already the most underrated song on Joanne when it's actually one of the best, amazing track, if it wouldn't have been the lead you'll be all "omg that song is amazing I'm slayed" I mean these "IT WASN'T LAAAAAAAAAAAHVE" "IT WAS A PERFECT ILLUSION, SOMEWHERE IN... ALL THE CONFUSIOOON" are the strongest lines in the album, so powerful and ragey It has its place, and works very well with the other tracks, and I like the place in the tracklist just in the middle ! Dunno if a choreo fits this song but if there is, then parfect. I love how every song from the album has it's own thread now but it also means the site has acknowledged the leak But ofc I understand it from their perspective too since it is so that the forums will be more organized. You really have to have an ear for what the track is going for and i think that it takes a few listens to catch on to the lyrics and the key changes. At first I couldn't understand what the eff she was saying. I honestly hated this song at first and completely understand why people aren't vibing on it. That being said, I still am not thrilled with it as a lead single only because I feel like there are much stronger songs. (coughcoughdiamondheartcoughcough) I guess I understand why they chose it though as an introduction to the Joanne era and sound, as it's maybe not as challenging to the GP audience as some of the stronger tracks would no doubt have been.
