I honestly feel like this has the most potential to be a commercial hit. It sounds so summer barbecue at the lake to me.

This song still needs to be an official single even though it's missed it spot as the lead. It is my fourth favorite song from her entire catalog and nothing else on the album got even close to that. I'm not saying it should be a single only because I like it -- I really think it would do well with GP.

I just checked iTunes and "Millions Reasons," "Angel Down," and "A-Yo" are marked as most popular currently and I know a lot of that's because of the dive bar tour so I hope her and her team takes a few days to really look at the numbers before settling on the next single. Million Reasons is sort of nice but the other two -- gag me with a spoon fer sure! :what:

Brilliant song that may not grab you at first but there's a part in the last minute or so where it switches up and makes you love the whole song

it's like finding jesus and then holding him to ransom, it makes you feel good

I know most people love this song, but something about it hasn't clicked with me. I hate saying it, but I even find it grating at parts.

I think what it is, is her vocal delivery. It's not flat, but it's almost nasally in parts. It's the range she sits at for most of the song.

The actual song itself is brilliant. I love the instrumentals and the concept. Just subjectively her vocals don't match with my ears. The same issue is present on Sinners Prayer. She sings at this lower register (almost where it hangs in her throat) - and she holds on to it the entire song.

I know people love this though, and I don't mean disrespect. Interesting enough, it's this song + the one two punch of Ayo which made this album hard for me to get into at first. It's two songs that I struggled with.

But I think the album really blooms as it goes on, and it has a beautiful second half. The more I listen, the more I love the album as a whole. Just a couple of moments here and there that I struggle with. But unlike past albums, none of these moments are technically bad. Just a subjective mis-match with my ears/ taste.

I love the album begins with a song that goes ... " i may not be perfect but I have a diamond heart".

Gaga isn't perfect, the songs aren't perfect. But she's a great person who works really hard on her craft. That is an admirable quality that really sets her apart.

And when she performs, no one else compares.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this song should have been the first single. It's my favorite (so far) along with Angel Down.

I am absolutely 100% utterly obsessed with this song. Obsessed.

It ticks both boxes:

#1 - It's a bop. It's the first song I want to hear when I get in the car to drive to work in the morning.

#2 - The lyrics and performance are so powerful. And personal. Yet, relatable.

Here we have 30-year-old Gaga opening the album 'Joanne' with a song where she is singing as herself as a 19 year old as a go-go dancer. But she's singing it with the wisdom of a 30-year-old. The lyrics and vocal/musical performance possess a self-knowledge and confidence that only comes with age. It's as if she's looking back on her past identity with nothing but love.

I may not be flawless, but you know I've got a diamond heart.

It's incredible.

It makes me want to dance like a stripper AND cry. All in one. It's everything.

It's relatable, as a 30+ fan... Many times the last few years, I've looked back on my own misguided youth thru the same goggles with which Gaga is singing from here. But this song now gives me a soundtrack for those feelings.

Did I mention I'm obsessed? :worship2:

My favorite on the album! This song is amazing and powerful, yet it has a very emotional aspect to it, just like the rest of the album. Diamond Heart needs to be a single.
