Ronlop 6,882
Gaga: "“It’s an endless proving of myself, that I really am a musician, that I have something to offer in the room. That women can be musicians, women can be rock stars, women can be more than an objectified idea of a pop star.”" Source:http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/17/t-magazine/lady-gaga-joanne.html?_r=1 Although she did mention her rebel against the status quo in pop in the past, reading this while listening to Joanne's leak truly just made me get it. Quartz 12,527
I now get why she always said in interviews that she's thankful that Mark and the others accepted her as a musician when working in the studio. She feels heard this time around. She's controlling the reins. Up till now, I guess she wasn't heard even though she wrote the songs because the direction of everything was dictated by someone else. I do get it too while listening to Joanne. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
Supersonic 49,376
Take notes little monstrosities. Gaga is more than the harmless hairbow wearing human jukebox you want her to be.
