she's a really great performer, but is she that involved with the creative process?

OP said performer though, not songwriter.

She also has one of the most creative minds in the game, coming up with imagery in her performances that are stunning, beautiful, and have the capability to really make you think.

Anyways, the only two people from our time that are up to par with the legends of previous decades are Beyoncé and Gaga. I personally don't like to pit my two faves against each other, lmfao.

That was more of a general compliment to everyone on her team. I also think she comes up with some stuff she does.

I completely disagree and I've seen her 5 times.

Everybody I've brought to her show has been underwhelmed too.

that being said... my last time seeing her was the Mrs Carter Show tour.

When I see somebody live, it's an adrenaline feeling you get that you can't force or make happen, it just happens. Beyoncé didn't evoke that in me at all. She is like a puppet on stage with no real connection to the audience. Her staff confirmed that to us at a hotel they were staying at. They basically said, Beyoncé doesn't like to get to know the people or places she visits on tour. She rarely does sound checks cause when her opening act has started, she's not even off her plane yet and that she rarely knows where she is half the time because she goes straight from her plane to the venue and then back to her plane again. Not that it matters but it really reflects her presence on stage. There is no connection. Everyone I've been to her shows with found it.... Boring

Coming up with nice visuals ≠ songwriting

I didn't say anything about songwriting though, I just asked if she really comes up with her performance and fashion ideas or does her team, I genuinely don't know bc I've heard both sides of the argument debate over it

maybe but i'm getting bored of her performances. She's a perfectionist when it comes to her shows, everything is polished and all but they're all starting to look the same to me  :ladyhaha:

I prefer Gaga over Beyonce'.Her shows are more personal, she interacts with her fans, makes them feel like they've known her for their entire life  it's just a matter of taste,i guess :sis:

Also,i feel like everything Beyonce does is a product of her team, all the ideas, stage production etc while Gaga is behind her every creative process, she's the leading lady, she puts her heart and soul into her performances and you can feel the intensity when you watch her perform

I personally think her shows are always the same and lack personality, but what I want to talk about is her dancing skills.

Honestly, for a long time I heard people say she was such a good dancer, one of the best in the current industry, and I saw a few performances from her. And no, she's not that much of a good dancer. From what I saw, Michael Jackson and Madonna were/are much better and could be counted among professional dancers. Beyoncé is far from having these skills, she's better than a lot of singers but she's not that great.

I never see anyone with this opinion, so...

The Child

This is the only acceptable opinion about Beyoncé's performing abilities.

End of the thread.

I'd recommend you to watch the documentary of her Las Vegas residency. Though you could argue that any official documentary is staged or laid out to show the most positive side of the subject, it still shows that she's incredibly involved in her shows and doesn't just sign off ideas made by her team. She's in complete control of everything, down to the specific hue of white she wants the candles on stage to have.
