Because she always said that her outfits are part of who she is, not just gimmicks.

They probably were.. at that point in her life. She's 30, do you really think Mark, Tame and other producers would take her seriously if she was to sit down in the studio with a giant lobster on her head and say " Ok lets write soulful, deep and honest music?"  I would be quick to second guess her.

Gaga, shut the **** up.

Stop going against your past self. Your past self was a phenomenon you should be proud of.

You shut the **** up

The giant lobster is a common metaphor for all her extravagancy, along with the meat dress and the egg/the vessel. The thing is, it looks like she completely ditched it, and not just crazy stuff, but even couture. She wears something aside sneakers and tees only on bday parties or smth like that. Bud Light Tour was the only time she wore something "unusual" as connected to music. But even there were jeans shorts

I do understand how artists' minds work, you can't know what they are comfortable to do tomorrow or in 10 years. But still, for the largest part of LMs Gaga's fashion and STATEMENTS that she made THROUGH fashion played a big role in making us fall in love with her. And we don't have that anymore

I can understand that, however It's the same conversation that seems to play out every hour on this forum. She's definitely grown, and hopefully the album will continue to put the music front and center, as it has so far.

She just didnt worded it very well though the interviewer made up for it. She doesn't need the lobster to be extravangant, her personality speaks for itself. The problem is that she doesn't always chooses the best ways to say things. And she was glamorous a few times in the studio, let's be clear people.
