She is not ashamed of her past

"All the outfits, fashion and art pieces over the years made sense to me. They didn’t make sense to other people..." She pauses, laughs, continues. “But I always got it. It was an expression, not a hiding."

Guys, really? What are the meltdowns all about?

The article was great I almost teared up. It did not feel pretentious. It's just her.

Exactly, I know people change and so does their preference on stuff, but shading your old self proves you weren't happy of who you were back at the days, then why were you doing it? which proves the haters right when they used to say "she's doing this only for attention".

Sis we get you're 30, it's not like you turned 60 out of the sudden.

Queen Isabella Blow stuck to her guns till she died without giving a flying ****, the true Lady Gaga (fashion wise)  0Diun3a.jpg

She always said that her clothes were also a way for her to direct attention to the things she wants to direct attention to. Having people talk about her clothes and creativity, instead of (other) trivial things.

I'm sure she still loves high fashion (as she has demonstrated multiple times this year!), but right now she's simply going through a phase where she just wants to focus on the songs. And thats perfectly fine and natural.

I find it so strange that fans are so surprised by this change in style. Gaga has literally always made unexpected changes.  It was only a matter of time that she'd some day go back to her "roots" and do a stripped down era. And if you expect to fully enjoy every. single. iteration. of herself that she comes up with, you'll probably end up feeling cheated (like so many fans do right now). She's simply too polarizing in her personality to be loved all the time. And that's what makes her, her.

Just remember:

"When people think that they know who Lady Gaga is, I want to remind them that they don't"

Well i read this and i cried, and i'm not even joking. **** she's so lost, i feel her so much, lots of people will feel her, it's so hard to live in this world this days.

It's the funny the last remark on the Trump conservative supporters being the ones that listen to country, we had a thread like that. And it's kinda true.

If the execution is good, this album can really come out as very important. It seems like Angel Down might be the ballad single.

THIIIIIIIIS!!!!!!

and in general: Gaga is not really shaming or making her past fashion look bad/gimmicky. I feel like a part of this fanbase just want to start to hate her so she changes back to (sorry for using this word you cryptic ass motherf*****s) her basic pop songs. Because listening to them now, the songs (like Gaga said about her outifts in THIS interview) made sense, it made sense for that time, NOT THIS TIME.

Naor Daniel

This is sad. It's like revealing she was never into all the theatrics? I actually really loved it and that's what made her and the music so interesting. We always cared about your music.

Ugh. It must be so hard to be criticized all the time.

I am so glad she does not want those crazy clothes anymore. This is everything I ever wanted and I could care less if she's shading her past, even though she's not. She's matured a lot and Joanne is going to show that.

Also, Grigio Girls is shaping up to be my favorite song on the record, beautiful lyrics.
