The fact that I'm more focused on Britney and Ariana when Gaga is dropping an album on Friday says it all tbh, this era has been a huge let down and she should be ashamed of herself. We waited three years for this. My 5th grade (I was in 5th grade for BTW) self would cry if they knew this would happen.

They announced their new single via a snippet 

Their new album title, release, and preorder the day after 

They're premiering their new single live on X Factor and putting it on iTunes live on the show after their performance, they will also be streaming their single debut live on their FB page and X Factor's FB page.

They also announced their tour yesterday and the deluxe edition of the album comes with a concert DVD and a "Making Of" documentary.

 

Now THAT is how to make an era worth being hyped about

They already officially announced it, she's probably legally obligated to perform now regardless of how the era turns out. It's not just a typical tv show, MIA was sued for raising the wrong finger while rapping, Janet Jacksons career was cancelled when she showed a nipple I mean it's a big deal.

We've become so accustomed to heavy promo and Gaga working her butt off all the time that we complain it's underwhelming when she doesn't do it anymore. Maybe she just doesn't care about charting anymore. I think that's perfectly fine, given how much she's worked in the past years she ought to feel like she's established a position to not do frivolous promo anymore. She's in a more personal place and i respect that. Many artists who release a new album don't go on XF or VMA's to broadcast to the entire world, but seems like our fanbase are the only ones who act they it's out of the ordinary.

Gaga changed. Fans are finally aware of that. She has changed ever since ARTPOP. And I don't think it's a nice change. Her statements over the last few years have been confused and she sometimes contradicts herself, she doesn't care anymore. Yes, she doesn't care. Didn't they plan anything over the last couple of years? What happened? Today we know most of the things she did during her peak years were mainly influenced by her team, that is the ugly truth. She lost that team, apparently she is controling things (apparently) and she is not able to do that. Come on, even indie artists manage their music and concepts better... And they don't need millions and a whole team to do so.

 

Everything's sad. The saddest part is that the Lady Gaga who wanted to rule the world, who wanted to change the world and the music scene, who was a pop genius apparently doesn't exist. You could say "she changed", yes that's true, but from some of her latest statements it seems like she wasn't has genuine back then as we thought.

Art pop at least had plenty of promo performances and good music videos. It was worth the wait. This was not.

She canceled her performances at the U.K. and you're already acting like the era is over. Calm down. She has SNL, Carpool karaoke and the biggest stage of all (Super Bowl).

Numbers aren't that good right now. PI didn't become a hit and the album will probably debut with lower sales than ARTPOP but quality wise it'll probably be way better. I hope Gaga and Interscope choose well the next single and hopefully they'll perform better at the charts than PI.
