Should the Glory era have been done differently date wise?

I think the Glory era could've been done a lot better if Britney's team organized things a little differently. For example, I think Make Me was released way too early. I think it should've been released VMA week with a good music video. If it had done that, Make Me would've debuted top 10 on the hot 100. Glory should've been released the week after it was. It would've debuted at number one for sure and since Britney did promo for the album, Make Me would've benefitted from that promo and could've been more successful.

It would've done the same, it didn't sell because people didn't like it and/or radio didn't play it

dont come for me, I love make me :diane:

I agree with every word. They did "Make Me" so wrong with the timing and let it die so ungracefully with the music video that no one wanted. The song isn't really great in my opinion, but better timing could've helped it, I think.

Do You Wanna Come Over would have been a better choice single. Sounds like classic britney

Do You Wanna Come Over? - summer single May-June

Love Me Down (promo)

Better (July-August)

Man on The Moon (October) - album release, world tour announcement

February tour start

Make Me Ohh (February 2017)

possible final single: Slumber Party (May-June 2017)

The greatest problem was that awful video. Britney's videography doesn't deserve that video in it, after some of the most emblematic pop videos ever. Such a waste.

The other was that her performance was subpar. I still crack at her wearing that hood for the second song and then taking it out and it had no purpose. It's one of the worst performances in such a big event.

we'll just have to see how the era plays out. I hope she makes about 3 new music videos for future singles from glory, its such a good album it deserves great visuals. And does it really matter if make me didn't get top ten it still did ok and is another hit for Britney to perform in Vegas.

I think if it were released with the album, it would've been more successful. It would've been a much bigger hit.

maybe but after listening to the album many times I dont think it was the right choice for lead single. I would have picked something a a bit more striking like What You Need. It could have had some quick Britney dancing, exciting circus tricks, it has some brash horns which remind me of ari's problem for some reason and its just like a wow she's back kind of song. And then the "that was fun" part at the end is like classic cheesy Britney.

Make Me is a bad lead single (and song imo) so is the new video. Plus the album art is just lazy. It could of been so good.

Everything was great for her after the BBMA's hype and praise she was getting for being "back." They released the song and when the video was leaking, said absolutely nothing letting rumors and stories get out of control and then they released that Disney Channel video that really didn't fit the song given how she had no groping G. Eazy on stage at VMAs/I Heart so it just seemed like for such a good time for her to deliver, she once again (maybe her team) squandered all the good she could have done by killing MM with such a horrible visual. She also nixed the original choreography and the VMA performance would have been better if she had stuck to the actual performance with males and the original choreo but we were treated to some of the cheapest production in her entire career. Beyonce overshadowing her, POM promo over her new record, scrapped music video and nothing beside performing a buzz track, I can see why the album is tanking.

Idk I personally skip Make Me when I listen to Glory (which is a lot) and I think there are plenty of better, radio friendly songs on the album. They probably just released it because G-eazy or whatever is on it. They should've realeased Do You Wanna Come Over? (Officially with a video), Better, Slumber Party, Love Me Down, Change Your Mind....the list goes on.

Best Britney Album in a LONG time if you ask me. Don't know why EVERYONE is flopping lately except for rap or generic dance music.

No offense but, the album doesn't really have a "strong" Britney song. It's a chill album and it's not bad, in fact I bought it, but it's not great. It's an album I'll forget about in 6 months. They just went that mature vibe with it. If they wanted to have a more upbeat album they'd have recorded songs like those from Femme Fatale or called Max Martin or something like that.

Even "Do You Wanna Come Over", which is one of the options for a single, is not that great of a record, it just lacks something.
