Lady Gaga briefly chimed in on Twitter yesterday to help the uninformed parse a particularly fraught situation

She followed that up by directing her followers’ attention to the hashtag#WhyWomenDontReport that collects stories from survivors about the way rape culture continually silenced them, even when they did speak up about their experiences.

I don't want to get into a political debate since i hate politics but their is no rape culture because that would be like saying there's a murder culture or a theft culture which there clearly isn't because to support any crime this serious would mean that person takes part in that crime or supports crime which would be like 0.1% of the population which does not indicate a culture of any sort.

Firstly just because you hate politics doesn't mean you should stay silent. Secondly just because you have no understanding of rape culture doesn't make it go away.

Denial is a defence mechanism: You don't have to believe in rape culture. You are not part of the solution.
