Gaga poured her heart into this album and she did this, so she can touch our soul - not the #1 on the BB charts. If "Closer" is a #1 hit, is it really relevant to have a hit? Personally, I loved the snippets, and I think I'll love the album even more. But, a lot of Monsters may not like the direction she's going in. In reality, ARTPOP sold about as well as most of her contemporaries. She's in a different place now and isn't expected to have extremely high sales anymore.
