What's the name of a relative that has meant a lot to your family?

JOANNE: a relative that you feel has spiritual connections with; whilst being a person that has meant a lot to your family.

Well I wouldn't say spiritual connection because I'm not sure if I believe in that stuff  But a relative that I never got to meet that I would've loved to and is my maternal grandfather :flutter: I've never heard anything except amazing things of him from my mother and my uncles and aunts and he seemed pretty damn cool as well :worship2:

My grandmother who I called Bogie(BC her last name was Bogle and it just came out when i was a baby) she died this past march so I feel that she is my Joanne. I feel that shes telling me to follow my heart and actually write my record.

My grandfather.

He was married to my grandmother's sister, and when my grandmother's husband (my biological grandfather) died, he left her sister, stepped in, and took the reigns of the family (2 boys, 3 girls, and one hell of a financial cul-de-sac) and turned it around and really grounded the family.

He's the only grandfather I ever knew, and he was absolutely incredible.

My Granddad Eddy who passed away at the start of this year...:(  I miss him so much.... I can relate to Gaga cause after that moment I saw a different side to my mum and my Aunt and my Gran. My other Granddad is very close to death as he has cancer which has spread round his body, he could actually die tomorrow it is that bad

Gaga's music can help me through it :)

I wouldn't say I feel a 'spiritual connection' but my mom always tells me about her brother (which is my uncle who I was named after) who passed away before I was even born. She always tells me how he was  a great person and I look exactly like him and share the same personality, hair, etc. also how it floored her sisters how when I was born they were shocked at how much I looked like him :omg: which resulted in some crying

it would've been a great experience to meet him since he seemed like a fantastic person who helped my mom through so many tough times

I wish I could have had more time with my paternal grandfather. He died about a year after I was born and I don't remember him at all but my parents and aunts and uncles always say good things about him. He was the Assistant District Attorney of Memphis during the time MLK was killed and my dad has an envelope from a letter James Earl Ray sent to my grandfather. It would have been so interesting to know him.

My Grandma that passed when my mom was only 10 years old :( I´ve always felt a connection to her, my mom always says that my greatgrandmother used to say that nobody ever got excited and was laughing like me when I was little, except for my grandma Alena that I never had a chance to meet :/ they always said I smile and express my joy just like her.... And I got myself emotional now :toofunny: they say she was the nicest person on earth and did not deserve to die :(

He's a fighter, been battling cancer for years now... its just gotten so bad this year :( He had 2 mini strokes throughout the year and a mini heart attack..

I know if he goes, my dad will be a changed man. I could see it in his face the first time we went to hospital cause of the mini stroke. I dont know how he would cope :( Then his reaction would pass down to my brother and I...

Sorry to depress you all, but thats my Joanne :) I am a swimmer who is trying to make it to Olympic level. I'm going to make him proud :)
