I believe after a threshold of time it becomes harder for songs to stay in the chart, if they sell below a specific amount they just get removed instead of lingering around the lower positions forever

Btw, why do songs suddenly leave the chart when it's barely at the bottom? They just reach around 50 and then kinda disappears...

There's a Billbord rule that if songs drop lower than #50 after 20 weeks on the chart (or below #25 after 52 weeks) it just drops off.
