this is targeting people who go after a single individual i'm guessing but i wonder if this will evolve into a ban on offensive memes as a whole like harambe ones or pepe. will british little flopsters be arrested one day for calling adele fat? :neyde:

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

Uma Kompton and 'd!ck rat' are shaking

By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig.

I don't think these old people use "troll" in the exact same way that we do. This isn't referring to people like Uma Kompton (for example) who are for the most part harmless, this essentially just means they'll start taking direct harassment towards individuals more seriously - which as someone already said is more like online bullying than trolling in the way that we think of it.

But our gov have said that they're cracking down on "trolls" many times before and nothing has changed, so I don't expect this to be any different.

There's a big difference between being able to express yourself and being an outright bully though :emma:

You're allowed to bully people in a free society :nails: sorry but I don't stand with Gaga on this one. Bullying should be punished, but not by the state.

Now, when bullying crosses the line into something else more serious, that's called harassment, and we have laws for that already.
