It is quite obvious that Gaga was inspired by the alternative rock band Radiohead when making some of the songs in Joanne. It all started when someone that went to the listening party said that Gaga told them that there was some Radiohead influence in the album. Also, some months ago Gaga posted a video of her dancing to one of Radiohead's songs:

So it is clear that Gaga was paying a lot attention to Radiohead's music lately. Finally after listening to Joanne snippets, I can say that songs like Joanne and Diamond Heart (the part before the drop) definitely have that melancholic guitar and synth sounds that Radiohead is known for. Specially in songs like this ones:

I never thought about it,ย you're absolutely right. You could definitely compare theย guitarย in Joanne (the song) to the spaceyย and melodic sounds of In Rainbows, or AMSP.

I think that's a slight reach, I'll wait until the album is released to judge Gaga and Radiohead side to side, which is also the name of Ariana Grande's third single off the album Dangerous Woman, available on iTunes and local music outlets

Honestly I am *AMAZED BEYOND WORDS* that someone on GGD dropped mention of this song. This album is classic. I adore PJ Harvey. Thank you.ย

As a RH fan and occasional lurker on this forum I only signed up to say that that's the biggest reach I've ever seenย in here. None of Gaga's music sounds remotely like anything by Thom Yorke and co.

No. but wouldn't that be great though. I half expected Joanne to have an alt-rock feel but turns out it's more folk /americana. ย

It's like when the ATRL Katy Perry fans were saying Katy was the new | american version of Bjork lmfao

Have you ever listened to Radio Head, because Joanne doesn't even minimally sound like them. Joanne sounds like Gaga, as it should. Can't that be enough? Lol

I snobbily highly doubt this, but I will keep this in mind when I hear the full album. I just can not even slightly imagine this to be true and actually heard.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
