Yo GagaGaga 6,541
Before I start this isn't me saying that I don't like Joanne, in fact I love it and I'm not sure why theres so many monsters hating on it. This is purely speculation The iconic time of February 2016, where Gaga became the first person to perform at the Grammys, Oscars and Superbowl, and it also gave a lot of Little Monsters an idea on LG5. Gaga showed a lot of people that it looked like she was ready to return to the pop scene head on, through her performances and outfits, but as we know now that is obviously not what happened. Here are just a few examples of how she teased the pop and crazyga for LG5 Promos Outfits: Performances: After watching all of these and seeing Joanne its hard to believe that these were just months apart from each other As we know Gaga had worked on about 8 songs with RedOne and and some with DJWS, but where exactly did they go? Both producers seemed pleased with the work that they did, even saying that one song was grammy worthy if I remember correctly, yet none of them made the cut. The most likely explanation that most fans accept is that she had a scrapped album that was set for release soon after the three major performances that she did at the beginning of the year. A lot of people say that she scrapped the album after the death of David Bowie, but how would that make sense if she still went on to do these elaborate pop-esque performances and outfits Does anyone actually know what caused Gaga to completely reroute LG5 from a pop album that would be a continuation of her po-self from 08-13 to a more country and rock influenced album aimed to connect with everyday people? JustAnotherDay 8,402
I think David Bowies death caused a change in her that inspired her to create a new project, she looked up to him so much and I think his death made her realize she wanted to do more than the pop music she had done before, she wanted to be remembered as an influetenial and innovative musician and not another pop star. was NickARTPOP

Tanner 810
I don't think this really relates to her music.. she was working with Ronson since November and I think if anything, it was the C2C era that inspired her to make more organic music. Thomas P 18,479
Honestly, Bowie's death was the game changer. We pretty much got confirmation that that Grammy performance was gonna be new music, but she did the tribute, and she kept pushing back and making more and more music. Eityer way, this album is her best imo. I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.
Computer 10,973
This is the big question in my mind. I want to hear all the theories. I kind of think she just suddenly had the idea of Joanne and made it all suddenly. And she'll keep working on LG5 for LG6. 💚💛💕❣⭕💢💢 | ⓜⓔⓡⓡⓨ ©ⓗⓡⓘⓢⓣⓜⓐⓢ

Zaza 873
Mark changed everything... She was inspired by AHS in OCT when she wrote LG5 time and then she changed themes from dark pop to autobiographical raw music .When they started working heavily in feb-march. Plus the break up More organic sound Bobby and Mark wanted for her etc ditching DJWS and RedOne ,maybe she might save the DJWS ones ono a new cd someday. Hopefully, an app like idea on CD of unreleased content.... spread love and peace with every intention. Cherish everything u have. Bette Davis 12,742
LOL no. Although Bowie's death was hard on her I think it was more personal than that. I think it was her rocky relationship/breakup with Taylor that shifted her music from pop, which can be a bit more shallow, to more heartfelt music. Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet. VANTABLACK 7,793
I'm sorry but 2016 looks were tragic . I wanna know what happend after feb after the oscars 2015 and Grammys . That was slayage . And her style became very laid back and frankly boring
