REALITY 78,006
First off, it'sĀ not a country album.Ā I don't understand why some people get the notion that it's a country album, it's really not. It's definitely a pop album, but a different kind of pop.Ā There areĀ rock, country, soul, folk, funk influences in the album, but at it's core, it's pop. Diamond Heart /Ā Honestly pleasantly surprised by this one. I thought it would be a slower song, but I couldn't be more wrong. It's uptempo, definitely a pop song, sounds electronic with maybe some rock influences (side note, some of her vocals reminded me of an emo-punk rock band ) A-Yo /Ā Pretty much the same as the live performance. It definitely has a country influence, but it also sounds sort of rock to me. One of my favorites. Joanne /Ā This one's interesting. It's definitely slower and not exactly what I expected, but she sounds absolutely beautiful on the track John Wayne /Ā Sounds like an awesome pop-rockĀ song. Nice hook, definitely excited to hear this one, but it's electronic too, and her vocals are really nice on this one! Dancin' in Circles /Ā This one'sĀ amazing!!Ā As most have said, it's probably their favorite and rightfully so Ā Nice background vocals too. You can definitely dance to it, and it was certainly a pleasant surprise. I didn't really know what to expect, but nevertheless, it's really nice. Sinner's Prayer /Ā It sounded better than her live performance. This one was especially country inspired, I think. Also rockāsorry, it's like very song I say is rock inspired āI wasn't a huge fan of it during the live performance, but this might change my mind. Come to Mama /Ā I'm sort of shocked that a lot of people don't like this one. It's one of my favorites! If you like The Beatles, or a Motown type of song, you'll love this one! It's a great "throwback" song. Hey Girl /Ā The instrumentals reminded me of Bennie & the Jets Ā Honestly, this one I'm a little disappointed in, then again, we haven't heard the whole thing. Both Florence and Gaga sound incredible, though! Angel Down /Ā The lyrics seem really profound. It has a lovely [minor] medley. Sounds sort of like the "Dope" of this album, but even better! [This coming from someone whoĀ lovesĀ Dope]. Grigio Girl /Ā This one sort of reminds me of Ho Hey by The Lumineers, especially with the background vocals. Not bad though, some people seem disappointed in it, I'm not.Ā Just Another Day /Ā This one, like Come to Mama, reminds me of The Beatles. Sounds older, like a classic song. I'm excited to hear this one! Overall Conclusion /Ā It sounds like an amazing album, from what I've heard! People might say it's just me hyping the album up, but I genuinely feel like this will be one of her best, if not herĀ best album. It's definitely a different kind of sound, though. It's not like her other albums, it's more eclectic and more influenced by rock, folk, and country than anything else.Ā Again, it'sĀ not a country album.Ā I think people are still hung over her Nashville performances, it'sĀ not country.Ā There areĀ country elements,Ā but to say that the overall album is country is just wrong.Ā Ā šš„š¢ šŖš²š°š¦š 'š° š¤š¬š«š«š ššÆš¦š«š¤ šŖš¢ ššš šØ š£šÆš¬šŖ š”š¢šš±š„

nreed 1
Diamond Heart -Ā Amazing dance tune that builds into this heavy guitar-heavy, stomping chorus A-YOĀ - I like it more in the studio recording. Less country than I thought it'd be, a bit more funk-influenced. Very bass-guitar heavy. Reminds me of MANiCURE. Joanne -Ā I think this is by far my favorite song later. Most emotional. Just her and an acoustic guitar strumming. Sounds very much like Fleetwood Mac or very early "unreleased"-era Lana Del Rey. Pure Perfection. John Wayne -Ā Very rock, EDM influenced. Reminds me of MJH with it's progression, a bit. Definitely a good surprise. Chorus breaks into this synth and drum-heavy groove. Close to ARTPOP-era Gaga, with much better production value (it's not cloudedĀ in messy production). Dancin' In Circles -Ā Definitely a stand-out. Very new Gaga with a very Cheap Thrills-esque production. Major Bloodpop production signatures are in here.Ā Sinner's PrayerĀ - I actually love this. It's just a very storyteller, early 70's deep country jam. Exactly like the live version. Come to Mama -Ā Straight-up 60's inspired soul jam. To me, it fits her perfectly.Ā Hey GirlĀ - Sexy, staccato groove straight out of the 70's. Major Elton John vibes here, much like Benny and the Jets with full hammering piano chords in the background. Florence and Gaga work together perfectly and trade every line.Ā Angel Down -Ā emotional af. Low strings and keyboard in the background. I feel like the snippet leads to a nice soaring chorus. Reminds me of a polished Dope. Lyrics are amazing and there are minor dance sound effects in the background. Very emotional. Grigio GirlsĀ Ā - Feels like just a regular self-empowerment women anthem. Very indie-pop with standard chorus. Just Another Day - Another groove-y, retro song. Straight out of an Elton John cut. Definitely see the London groove to it.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
Tanner 810
From the ones I listened to: Diamond Heart - kindaĀ reminds me of like, a really good Paramore pop/rock song. But a lot better.Ā Hey GirlĀ - basically Bennie and the Jets. Love it. Dancing In Circles - the most mainstream/pop. Sounds like TFM eraĀ mixed with Sorry / Cheap Thrills A-YO - a country bop, similar to Shake it Off Saving my ears for the rest. So excitedĀ
