REALITY

It's difficult to say, really, because each song is their own. It really is an eclectic album in terms of sound, but it'sĀ definitelyĀ going to be an amazing album, from what I heard.Ā

Personally, I'd say that the overall album is has a pop-rock sort of feel to it. It'sĀ absolutelyĀ a pop album, but there are strong elements of rock that I heard, but also with elements of country, soul, funk, folk, andĀ maybeĀ disco (especially with Perfect Illusion).

Pop Rock seems to be the main genre. Loves it tho!

Yeah, with some country influence.Ā  I also love it.

I posted this in a News forum earlier but its opinion, not news, and I would appreciate other opinions on this:

I wonder if someday Gaga will do hard rock.Ā  I mean no-holds-barred, in-your-face rock that would slay rock fans to the very depth of their being.Ā  I know Gaga is a strong singer, but is she strong enough to do something like the 15 seconds starting at 5:40 into this? I live outside the space time continuum.

Its a mixed bag. Overall its got a real mellowĀ adult contemporary vibe. Lots of pretty pop melodies but with a more mature sound and more focus on vocals than production.Ā Think Adele's latest album.

Ā John Wayne/AyoĀ sounds really rock tho and Dancin in Circles/Diamond Heart sound more popppy and modern.and will probably be singles.

For the people saying its country its not country. The only blatantly country song is Sinners Prayer (and it slays)

ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY

I thinkĀ Once the GPĀ samples the album on iTunes I think people who don't follow gaga normally or like her music will find something for them. She literally appealed to EVERY type of music fan with this album. The last time she did that was on Born This Way but no tracks are as out there such as Scheibe and Bloody Mary, etc.Ā

Come to Mama literally sounds like an Amy Winehouse song and that combined with Just Another Day and A-YO are the most Ronson sounding tracks.Ā

I've always liked him but this album shows he is a musical genius.Ā

Diamond Heart-Pop

Joanne- Folk Ballad

John Wayne- Rock vibes but dancy

Dancin' In Circles- Reggae/Pop/Dance(strongest snippet in my opinion)

Come to Mama- Folkish really hard to describe with what little playedĀ

Hey Girl- Pop(weakest snippet in my opinion)

Angel Down- Power Ballad

Grigio Girls- kinda country/pop hard to describe with the snippetĀ

Just Another Day- Pop(sounds like a Beatles record)Ā

They all sound too much country to me. Even her accent. Joanne has a jazz feel but still too much country in the vocals. So sad, my whole month is ruined!

Does she have the accent in the studio versions ? I've been a fan since the start, and I always willĀ be. But if the accent is used on the album I'll simply turn it off. I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews and descriptions. Some are saying most of the songs have a country feel, others are saying only a few and it's only a bit of an influence.Ā

Ā

I love all kinds of music and I love that Gaga can be so diverse when it comes to genres, she can usually pull off just about anything. But I can't stand most country music (there are some exceptions) I just watched Ā a clip of her performing the song Sinners Prayer, and I made it about 30 seconds. I couldn't take the fake accent, it was just too much. I started listening to Gaga to get away from this kind of thing. She was unique and Ā I loved her presence and the wholeĀ mystique. But this whole fake accent thing, I hope it was only for that one performance and for that night only becauseĀ It's just such a turn off to me. I think it would be a great song with her normal real vocals.

There's always a country-pop feelĀ in every song, excluding PI. I think it'sĀ really cool personally. OtherĀ than that, there isĀ some funk, soul, folk,Ā andĀ rock influences flowing through the album (like she's stated a couple of timesĀ already).Ā
