Is Perfect Illusion dishonest?

Based on the snippets, it seems that the song won't fit on the album

The album has 70s acoustic/folk/country vibes while PI sounds current

All the songs were made from scratch while PI was already a Kevin Parker demo

You can tell it doesn't belong to this body of work

I think the sole purpose of this song was to create a single to sell the album

If this is hate to PI Just because it did not chart higher than your expectations then stop it. Theres people who likes it, like me. And PI does not sound current, it has and old vibe.

Pacify Him

It might be the only song I'd like from her, even if it's straight up rock and roll. Diamond Heart and John Wayne are my only hope for true pop music.

I’m getting on your nerves

yes, Perfect Illusion's truth is in its red lipstick + it's not dishonest, it's just that it loathes reality.

I dunno... we know theres a pop-dance song the one she wrote with beck... theres supposinly at least 1 jazzy song

The album is just one big mix... So u cant really single out a song that doesnt  belong

No one cares that it flopped. If it was #1 it would still be a bad song with no replay value.
