Letmelivemylife 8,715
There are VERY few songs that make me cry. I mean like ugly cry with tears and snot coming out. I'll admit that I ugly cried with tears and snot when I heard a million reasons because it hit home for me. I think "hair" was the last song that made me ugly cry. I had an extremely ****ed up childhood. I've been in and out of psych wards since I was a teenager. There were so many times that I just wanted to just hang up the towel and die. Gaga/monsters became my million reasons to hold on when I had a million reasons to let go. I'm interested in hearing what "million reasons" means to you? I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you
kabirartfling 9,063
Its a really good song! I was expecting dope-ish song but million reason is far more superior than any song gaga has ever written/made (the edge of glory level of greatness). The lyrics are so relatable, the gp will love it & she nailed it! Give your love to me
PaperIz 7,338
Your story touched my heart anyways Million Reasons makes me emotional as well. It to me, makes me think of all the things in life that make me unhappy and how i regularly want to run away, but I also want one damn good reason to make me stay Human generated art
Katsuki Bakugo 9,788
I calls me back to moment where I almost gave it all up and just packed my bags and left, but I got that one reason that made me stay. Hyoha 1,612
I know Gaga has been saying on every single interview for this album that she didn't focus on making music about her this time around; that this time, she wanted to make music about the people in her life and her fans, etc. But MR, to me, is 100% about Gaga. I don't relate to it on a personal level because it's almost obvious that that song was written about her own love life. I think it's her most personal song yet. So to answer your question, I see and interpret MR as a glimpse from Gaga's pain when she realized her relationship with Taylor was going downhill but she still had hope. Whenever I listen to this beautiful song, I think about Gaga and I feel for Gaga and I just feel like giving her a hug.

Hahaha my gf came home from work and I'm just sitting on the couch watching the dive bar performace of million reasons just bawling my eyes out. Lol my poor gf just looked at me like "are you having a moment?" I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

I also looked at it like fake monsters gave her a million reasons to quit music but the true monsters gave her a million reasons to stay I love you monsters. After all, I never understood our celebrity obsessed society. But that tiny 5'1 Italian woman wormed her way into my heart and became my everything. Now I can't imagine my life without her I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

I don't know, it just feels so personal, so deep...it has to be about Taylor. I'm almost certain that PI is the song made for the fans that left her during the ARTPOP cycle
Gagadonna 10,801
It reminds me of my parents who broke up like 4 times in their couple life (they've been back together for like 5 years now). The song makes me imagine in what state of mind my mom was when she left my dad when they were younger. Their breakups did not last long, as my dad could always give her a reason to come back. Now they are happier than they ever were. I've never felt so related to one of Gaga's songs before now.
display name 4,360
"Million Reasons" makes me think about the people who couldn't give me one good reason to stay. When things don't work and there's no hope of fixing anything, you just have to walk away in order to make yourself feel better again. But when you have those people who always give you new reasons to stay, it's the greatest thing in the world.

Hadrian 500
It reminds me of something pretty depressing, so it's going behind a spoiler tag so as not to be too much of a downer. Spoiler It reminds me of all the stories on the raisedbynarcissists subreddit where posters wish they had real loving parents instead of the pieces of **** they got stuck with. You're giving me a million reasons to leave, but I want one to stay, and you can't even give me one reason. And then "I try to make the worst seem better". My parents were pretty shitty, but time will tell if I'm able to completely forgive. I ran and hid to catch my breath / but instead, I'd catch my death
Nicole 1,809
To me, it's probably one of the songs that I've related to the most, ever. And it hit me so hard when I really listened to the lyrics. For me, I don't relate to it on a heartbreak kind of way, but something a lot more personal that I don't think I've shared with anybody. Spoiler my struggles with depression and wanting so much just to give up, and at a time I was at my complete lowest, my niece was born and I experienced the most incredible + powerful connection to her I'd never felt before. The moment i held her for the first time, I knew I needed to stay (as per the song lyrics). And while I still have those awful feelings and struggle with it everyday, I feel like one of my purposes in life is to guide her and protect her and love her, and I can't do that if i'm not here. Sometimes I feel that something or someone of a higher power helped me stick it out so I could make that realisation it sounds crazy, and i know a lot of people probably won't understand, but having a song like Million Reasons that literally speaks the words I couldn't, it's really touching.
